Yes it needs tuning once a month but perhaps was missed, temperature changes in the summer make a big difference, it is only a wooden frame so humidity also affects things as well.

Literally the invention of the "disc drive". I first heard the Regina on a now out of print vinyl LP from Columbia records called "A Music Box Christmas". Beautiful stereo recording that lets you hear how much bass and high tinkling notes this machine could produce. Thanks for sharing this!

You may make any tune that fits in the tuning scale which is clearly written on the cards, it just takes time and patience.
