I got mine from Altenew when they had it for 69.00- I LOVE it. Not only is it a game changer for stamping (especially larger stamps) but for stenciling also. IMO it was money well spent.

I stumbled on your video and the thought of you , or anyone giving up just seems a waste.. If you have been doing card making as a way to generate income as a Stampin Up distributor, or to just have a way to make money ... well, that would be a reason to quit.... BUT, if you truly enjoy the process of creating, and making new online friends then stop looking at the numbers and start branching out with other paper companies products , make cards, make other paper items and let your joy of making show!! Heck, girl I do the same things but not on KZbin and have about 5 to 10 people who "feed" my happy soul with their appreciation! Having even 100 people view and possibly say they thought what I made was beautiful etc would put me over the moon!! So as my family would say.. Decided what makes you happy.. and just do it! Just my 2 cents...

Lately I've been totally unimpressed with Stamping Up product line. When I first started stamping I was introduced to Stampin Up and I've been loyal but the last two years or so I"ve seen so many other companies products that really get my creativity going. I think I'm bored with their designs and I'm finding the cost just forces me to purchase somewhere else. Like everything else our tastes change and I'm more drawn to simpler cards with layered embellishments at this stage. I'm trying to figure out how to pass on all my Stampin Up sets that haven't been used in years.

Hi! This is the first video of yours that I was given the opportunity to watch your channel. I've "Liked" it, subscribed to your channel, and turned on notifications. Having said that I also don't watch Shorts because I vehemently dislike them. I avoid them like the plague. I would, instead, like to encourage you to continue with the sole purpose of the joy of creating and sharing your joy with the world and to 53LL with views and numbers. IMO, they suck the fun out of everything. Congratulations on 5 years with Stampin Up. You are NOT a failure!! Please embrace your website's name: Joy of Cards

Do what makes you happy…if making cards and doing video tutorials makes YOU happy then keep doing it. I don’t normally comment on videos but I could hear the sadness in your voice and wanted to tell you that your Creator sees you and loves you. I used to watch a lot of different craft videos but I’ve been so busy with life-perhaps that’s why your views are down. Your cards are lovely but listen to your heart (see the EAR in hEARt) you know what you should do.

Please do not stop doing what you love. As a Stampin Up Demonstrator you have enough supplies to make cards and videos, without buying another craft item. All the other none SU dems have a following! I have not purchased any new crafting supplies in 3 years. No matter what the companies come up with, I already have somthinge similar, or just like it. I sell my creations, mostly 3d projects, via word of mouth for weddings, housewarmings, kids birthday parties, showers, etc . After an event where my favors are featured, I know I will get a call for a new job. I do not have a website. I do not create videos. I am too busy selling my works at a reasonable cost, to do any of those things. I noticed early on, that Stamp Up Dems are their own best customers. The more successful you are the more product you will buy to thank your customers. I had enough scraps of my white cardstock to not have to purchase more cardstock for 3 years. I use my inks and alcohol markers to obtain any color of cardstock I need. I also use my printer. Please do not give up on crafting, give up on the cycle of purchasing unnecessary craft supplies, and then getting rid of them (sometimes unused) to buy more. You will be the happier for it. Good luck to you. Remember, you are an inspiration to some!

I used to make cards years ago but I stopped because it became a dying art form and it didn't sell as much as I would have liked. I moved on to other things, crocheting, sewing, drawing, making clay keychains and moulds, candlemaking, etc etc if there's a craft I will try it! Keep trying don't give up try new things ❤

No idea about yt especially now but when I made videos 6 plus years ago, way before shorts came along, my hauls and junk journals got views but not cards. And mine weren't tutorials either. Maybe share on the shorts teases to bring people to your longer video but keep the linger video 8 to 12 minutes. Maybe try posting on Instagram and Pinterest and also try collabs. And Google card making videos and see what does best....maybe kill a pad, or how many cards can I make with 12 by 12 paper or monochrome card or shabby card...whatever people might search for.

SU started my card making when I attended a friends party. After spending a lot of $, my friend talked me into becoming a demonstrator. I lasted only 1 year. I Ignored my passion until I found jennifermcguireink, Simon says stamps, ginakdesigns, hero arts, etc. I now purchase all my products online and follow these talented people ever since. Check them out. It’s such a warm and friendly community with challenges and classes. PS. Keep those YT videos coming if this makes you feel like sharing with the rest of us. I wish you well.

Thanks for sharing your experiment. In the beginning had my papers in my craft room on shelves with no direct sunlight, but then I started to notice fading on the top of the papers where it was nearest to light. So now I store them in the basement. Not as fun as having them around me, but cheaper because the paper stays „fresh“. The Pool Party ink is one of my favorite color, but the worst regarding fading. I have several projects where it is gone completely whereas others still look very nice.

Please note that this is not a comment on you as an artist. This is purely commentary and personal opinion of SU as a competitive card making supplier. As a card maker and seller, I don't generally like SU's stuff. When compared to other companies, such as Mama Elephant, Lawn Fawn, Honey Bee, etc, SU's art and fonts are just not cute or polished. I always wondered why they never found another artist for their linework and font creation to break into the market better and make it easier for their demonstrators to push product. For example, I remember when they had a porcupine stamp set, I believe, right about the time it was popular for other stamp companies and the SU set was just ugly. Guess that's why it became their sale-abrathon item. So when other companies really started to push their own card making monthly kits, I knew a lot of people who jumped ship despite the higher cost because the reuse value was better. I used to be a PP sub, but I stopped because I felt the other kits looked more polished and offered more reusability, despite the added cost - it's rare that a reach for the stamp sets I got with PP again, but other kits offer dies, stencils, embossing folders, 12x12 papers, cuter stamps. I will say, however, that I love my stamping platform and the basic punches - like my whale tail tag punch. Those items are permanently on my desk. However, they retired all of it - the items I find many people are asking for going by the resale values on second hand websites like ebay. I do, however, agree that YT's algorithm is broken. I hate that my feed often includes videos I've already watched, even when I search. I like to explore and support new or smaller creators, but it gets bogged down in the mire. I'll get 10 videos from the same bigger creator in a row before I'll see a smaller creator. I'm very sorry that you feel like you can't get ahead. Please don't think that it is a reflection on you as a creator. Not only is the market oversaturated and the algorithm biased, but, as I've mentioned, SU does not draw in the traffic that other companies do because of the quality of their art compared to others. Do what it is best for you and makes you happy about creating. The last thing you need is to lose passion in something you enjoy because it doesn't fill a quota.

You are obviously talented as a card maker. Please continue to do what brings you joy. I have a friend who is a SU demonstrator. I tried to support her but for me, it really limited me as I like so many other artist out there that teach me a lot of fun techniques with their products. I went through this with all my CM friends too. I tried to support them but I was spending money on a product that I was not all in on. When a new product drops, it has to be one that is going to make me “add to cart” instantly. I get that the competition is tough. That is why I say, do what brings you joy. I have and it has served me very well. I am joyfully creating everyday and living my best artful dreams. I wish the same for you. P.S. I think you are on the verge of soaring toward something fresh and new.

Hi there. I just found this channel this morning. I'm sorry for the situation that you are in. I bought from Stampin Up once, and once only. Prices are ridiculous and so is shipping. I resent the flooding of the market on you tube by Stampin Up. I want to watch videos that I choose, using products that I choose. There are so many Stampin Up you tubers showing the same products and the same creations ---- it's frustrating. That's how I feel . Again, I'm sorry for your situation. I hope that things work out better for you. I see some suggestions here in the comments that are working for others. All the best to you.

First I am so sorry you are struggling. None of this is easy. The demos that are successful at selling SU and at you tube work EXTREMELY hard at it. My upline works about 6 days a week at least 5 hours a day and more often than not it’s more like 10 or 12 hours a day. I’m sure you know this. I think you need to sit down and figure out your goals. Are you trying to make sales? Are you just trying to be a SU You Tuber? Are you wanting to do both? What are your goals? The answer to that question will tell you your next steps. For example, if you want sales then you need to appeal to the widest audience. Most card makers want to see really simple cards that they feel like they can repeat. Show people quick simple cards that are repeatable and they will buy the stuff to make that card. If you want to showcase more complex cards with more advanced techniques then you need to do videos that are tutorials. Give hints and tricks. These type of cards will get high views but not as many sales because people will say it is beautiful but I can’t do that. As for the shorts… don’t do them. Why would I want to watch a 1 minute card video? I’m not learning anything or understanding how you did it. So all that to say, figure out your goal and then work toward that goal. Best of luck to you.
