I have a place out there and it’s 2024 and the lake is 17 feet low but caught an 8 pounder the other day.

Which one is more stable for a big guy? Off topic, but what did you think of the 17t? I have kids, so it is interesting
@DanielMerrittFishing Жыл бұрын
17T is awesome, fished out of one a bunch and its a ton of fun for smaller bodies of water. They’re hard to find and i’d recommend a trailer so you can back it in(heavy). I’d say the pro angler is harder to tip over but the bigwater feels more stable because of the hull design.

idk how you do it man. I get skunked everytime. I've been working on learning how to fish in freshwater as I am from houston and usually fish in the ocean. Came here for school and struggling to transition. I've caught 1 bass since i started fishing here lol

Just curious, I live right above the part that’s marked out in red. In that little corner between 306 and 87. Why is it marked out? 😂

Inside those red lines are eligible fishing waters for the event. Apparently you’re at the edge

Whats funny is how hard it is to find actual comparison thats not injected full of opinion and bias. An objective comparison is very scarce. This is not one. Ask a Hobie fisherman, they say the opposite.

How does the big water compare to the pa in stability? Been trying to decide between the old town big water pdl and the sportsman 120 pdl. I mostly fish lakes big and small. I’m currently in an outback but hate how low it sits. So a comparison between the outback and big water would make more sense to me if you have any experience in one?
@DanielMerrittFishing2 жыл бұрын
Bigwater is equal to PA in stability. The Bigwater actually feels more stable for me while standing because of the hull shape, it doesnt rock back and forth. The PA is of course very stable and almost impossible to tip over, but it likes to rock easier and can feel like your going to fall more. Unless you have storage or travel reasons id always go with bigwater 132 over 120. More stable, tracks better, and faster.

This will be my first Kayak Bass Trail run. I attempted to fish a WTKF tournament back in 2020, but had just the worst of luck. I have yet to fish most of these lakes on the schedule, as i have only fished the lakes generally north of Abilene. Any good pointers?
