Stunning, wish I never sold my harmonium when I was younger! Beautiful enhanced tone on top of what is already a gorgeous harmonium tone!

I really like what you do. We don't often hear quality ambient generative music played on these beautiful instruments such as the Digitone or modular synthesizers (I actually had the same little Pittsburgh setup as you!). So, bravo. Small question: I see that your last video dates back to 11 months ago. What machine are you spending time on right now? And in the end, what was your favorite machine? Cheers mate.
@ultradianmusic Жыл бұрын
Thank you, I think my favorite for generative music is the Digitone. Because it‘s small and portable. Currently I‘m not spending much time on a specific machine. Instead I‘m working on new albums for other projects. Cheers!

That was Valhalla VintageVerb with very long decay time. Merry Christmas!

Sounds lovely mate, is that the onboard reverb or is it a cheeky little DAW number? Very inspiring either way

HI, love the what you're doing here, what's the actual routing of all the equipment. Thanks.

The iphone sends a single tone to the hog, the hog modulates the pitch of the tone with a little help of the 8-step, the resulting melody is send to the mel9 to give some organic character and finally it’s going into the Korg Kaoss Pad for delay and Walrus Audio Descent for reverb.

Dear Ultradian, just to make clear (I know you have pit. mod. lifeforms, pit. mod. primary oscillator, 2 x pit. mod. microsequence and pit. mod. mixer there)...two separate sequences feeding 2 voices..voice as in voice from lifeforms and voice from primary ocs.? Modulation is done by 3 LFOs. what exactly LFOs are modulating? bot lifeforms oscilators and primary oscilator OR sequencers?? how come you end up with continuous sound like? coz the sequencer on it is own sound like steps even in randomized fixed scale (correct me if I am wrong). Is it reverb which does that continuous sound? Was able to grab a second hand microsequnce and I am waiting for it to arrive. Looking forward to put my hands on it. Thank you very much.
@ultradianmusic Жыл бұрын
Hi Richard, one MiroSequence feeds the primary OSC and the other one the OSC in the SV-1. The LFOs modulating the two filters, I think. Can’t remember all details of the patch. But the reverb plays an important role for the sound and is not just a sidechain effect.

Hello again Ultradian. Would you mind to share your Fx chain u used, so I have at least idea if you don´t mind? what kind of reverb did you use on this one? is there a delay, ring modulation, what have you on the top of the reverb as well? Thank you very much. Richie.
@ultradianmusic Жыл бұрын
Hi Richard, it‘s just a reverb with very long decay (10 sec or more) and I think it was Vallhalla VintageVerb.

HOG is in the house:-) Can you imagine if an western guitar (with microphone)and an ebow will work too? .....The ebow just works with one string or more at once? Thanks
@ultradianmusic2 жыл бұрын
Not sure if a western guitar works with the ebow, because I think it needs pickups like on an electric guitar. But ebow with HOG is a perfect match :)

I don't know why people think that it's the music for sleeping, because I live my life with such music in my head and can sleep only in silence. This video is very aesthetic.

Nice:-) What do you think putting the HOG after the Lyra? No sense or to much? Thanks.
@ultradianmusic2 жыл бұрын
Playing the Lyra alone is already pretty hard … why would you make it such a burden! :)
@nobonesforthedog9892 жыл бұрын
@@ultradianmusic Because Ive seen your video with the guitar/EBow/Hog.....thouhgt getting only an constant tone out of the Lyra going in the Hog will open a wider space:-) though it could be less hard:-)

First question is already answered:-)
@nobonesforthedog9892 жыл бұрын
Superb piece of music. Guess right......your constant tone come from the little piece lying on your strings? Can you tell what it is. And another question.......can the HOG slow swell in like the POG does by using the attack? Think of buying and hooking it up on an circuit bended Keyboard. Thanks.
@ultradianmusic2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I don‘t know the POG very well but on the HOG you have a slider for lower and upper tone parts and each controls attack and decay with one slider. It works okay but the very long swell here comes from the massive reverb.
