If the interest rate rises, what effect does this have on the depletion of the resource?

They are professional dancers that teach in the Los Angeles area and travel all over the world (during non-Covid times) to teach at dance events. I think normally it's what they do full-time, but not sure at the moment. A lot of professional dancers and artists have struggled for the last two years, especially when larger events are cancelled or delayed.

Consider the Hotelling Model of Product Differentiation for a duopoly when the price is set exogenously by a regulator. Consumers incur quadratic transport costs. In this environment, what degree of product differentiation would you expect to arise? Explain your answer fully. Can you please explain this question?

How do I find T if there are T periods when I know the inverse demand function, the choke price, the total quantity of the non-renewable resource and that the optimal extraction path will follow hotelling's rule? I missed today's lecture due to medical issues and now I can't complete my homework for Monday.

In what real world situation is marginal cost unchanging? Where natural resources are concerned, supply is finite and therefore falling with each unit extracted. The marginal cost of extraction will tend to increase as supply becomes less and less accessible given the same input of labor and capital goods.

In the real world, 80-90% of businesses face falling marginal cost, i.e. increasing returns of scale.

quick question for you - when working through the equation were there was an increase in the interest rate to 20 percent. in the first step after you went 2000-400 then subtracted the 1200 it gives you 400+Q1- and i have +Q1 because the 2 negatives in the equation, but you have 400- Q1. when solving i came to a different solution at the end. what do you think?
