I see a new technique, I think "best add that to my repertoire" yet here I am with a thumb and finger like non-musical wet lettuce wondering what the hell is going on? 😆

Really nice. I have a fretless with the same string configuration. I think this design should be considered more often when talking about 12 string bass.
