This is interesting. I have the new 552x and the left side switch is for the high/low beam and the right side is for the hazard lights. The rocker switch on your bike thats used for high and low beam is now used to access the menu on the new TFT display.

I got confused about pos/neg. The sae fitted to the bike has the pos inside the plastic, with the bullet part being neg. This protects the pos from touching metal. But when you plug an sae into it the exposed bullet part is the pos. Took me a while to work this out, I bought a multimeter to make sure it was correct. I now have sae connected to my charger leads. I moved the sae on the bike away from the cylinder head, tucked it into the battery compartment which is easily opened with the bike key.

My condolences. Hopefully that is all that's wrong with mine is a battery. Ironically coming home from visiting my dad in the cemetery mine started cutting out on me and then totally shut off. Start again got farther down the road before totally shut off again. Engine was cutting out the whole time. Waited a super long time to get a tow to house. Pushed in garage when I came back out next day there was only power to the switches on handlebar. My mother passed away Sunday night. I just took the battery out and hooked it up to a charger. As you mentioned way too much going on and getting ready to go into winter. The logistics of moving all of my stuff including two bikes one it isn't working right now it's going to be a nightmare

it's definitely not a float, but a small "barrel" that is attached to a copper pipe that serves to evaporate gases and it broke off and is floating loose around the tank and banging against the walls

Long wires to reach how far underneath?

Am i getting this right ? Sonyiu power up the Led fog lights fintrol bix directly from the 2 pin connector on the bike whichbis controlled by the aux switch and you shorted the on off switch cables so its always set as on. As you are turning the control box which is always on via aud switch?

Install black screws and plastic plugs on them. It will be great.

According to the manual, available online: Remove: • pin springs (B) Fig. A • fixing pins (A) Fig. A • Remove the brake pads (C) Fig. B insert the new ones, job done. No need to dismantle anything at all. I about to fit EBC's to mine so thought I would check the manual first. The 502 and 502X use different front calipers and pads.

Hi Tom. I've just replaced my brake pads on TrkX after following your video. EBC on the front and Brembo rear. A piece of cake to do. I did use copper grease sparingly. What a.massive difference in stopping power. Nice one, cheers.👍

Any Issues on the MOT? I was told its a fail if you replace a standard bulb with LED or HID.

tom got any suggestion or any alternative front brake pads for our TRK? the brake pads here in the Philippines is so expensive ive been looking for brake pads from other motorcycle that is exactly the same as our TRK Front brake pads

Hi Tom. I watched your video on Trk accessories and really liked the tank pad and side grips. I couldn't make out the brand name though. I've looked on Ali express and eBay but can't find them. Could you tell me what brand etc. Also is the dual USB socket a Benelli item or just generic? I really rate the Trk X highly especially for price/value. I've been riding for almost 60yrs and have owned many bikes of all types in that time. I also own a Yamaha R1 which I love though the TRK gets more regular use. I enjoy your videos and I'm pleased that your enjoying your ownership of your TRK. Take care. Cheers.

Hi Tom, i had the same issue as you when taking it off, so i watched your video to see how to do it👍. I strongly recommend when you change your pads you clean them with disk break cleaner and when putting the pads in put copper grease on the back of the plats and on the spring pins as well as the conecting bolts to the frame this insures that all stay lubricanted and when the time comes to changing them again they are easier to remove.

Why are you eating and videoing

Nice one, just fitted some, the aux switch turns off with the ignition. Bought some lights of Amazon came with short cables but soldered the joints and heat shrunk them. The plug was a bit of a faf to fit but came in a pack of six so had a practice. Great videos mate. 👍
