Age and fame has been kind to their skin, it makes me happy they are all still so fair of countenance.

Shouldn't you be sucking up to big government & pretending that you haven't been the same since you kicked out Dave Abbruzzese?

I seem to recognize your face Haunting, familiar yet I can't seem to place it Cannot find the candle of thought to light your name Lifetimes are catching up with me All these changes taking place I wish I'd seen the place But no one's ever taken me Hearts and thoughts they fade, fade away Hearts and thoughts they fade, fade away I swear, I recognize your breath Memories like fingerprints are slowly raising Me, you wouldn't recall for I'm not my former It's hard when you're stuck upon the shelf I changed by not changing at all Small town predicts my fate Perhaps that's what no one wants to see I just want to scream hello My God it's been so long Never dreamed you'd return But now here you are and here I am Hearts and thoughts they fade away Hearts and thoughts they fade, fade away Hearts and thoughts they fade, fade away Hearts and thoughts they fade away Hearts and thoughts they fade, fade away Hearts and thoughts they fade, fade away Hearts and thoughts they fade, fade away Hearts and thoughts they fade

Oh I miss "let the sound guy do his magic". Mixer Operator. There used to be a human doing sliders and knobs. 22" Bass bins existed. PJ is playing Letterman and it sounds like a grunge song still in 2024.
I struggle to find a better live preformance... the SPIRIT is so real!

I can't imagine what it would have been like to be there in person, Everybody in the band, and the audience knew some thing special was happening with Vedder during this show, he was coming into his own completely, letting himself be truly inspired by the songs.

This was a fun watch.... And nice timing too....I just finished the latest 2 episodes of the podcast Bandsplain. This season is all about the early 90s Seattle scene....and the first band was a 2-part NINE HOUR episode on Pearl Jam. So my brain is absolutely brimming with Pearl Jam lol.

Zane dresses like the 17 year old girls that I teach - definitely does not fit their humble Seattle aesthetic lol, but great interview - can't argue with his results. I still wonder what PJ would have been with Dave A or Dave K permanently on drums instead of adopting Matt from Soundgarden. That being said, this is their best album in a while with their modern format, probably since Riot Act for me.
