Great discussion. I concur with all your comments. My go to lens is my Nikon 28 to 300. It is a little heavy but shooting events I can get extreme closeups without invading the subjects space and still able to get some wide angle shoots in tight spaces.

You are speaking my love language today! I agree with you both here fam. Capture One doesn't effect color shift like LR just FYI for your color work but nothing beats BW. Ever. They dont age, they strip down the image to its simplest form. Light, shadows, and composition. I could ramble but I wont and will simply end with a recommendation - Fan Ho Also, "dumb enough to" hurts fellas.. hurts alot. LOL
@_motioncreativemediaАй бұрын
It is the purest form without a doubt. I love how you said it, light, shadows, composition.. That's it.. That's what makes a BW image. Garrett did say "dumb enough" didn't he? hahaha

You not gonna believe. Excellent topic by the way. I took some photos of my friends gender reveal party and guess what? I've edited one image pretty good in my thoughts then I've saved the preset and started applying into the other images, and many I exported right away, guess what? They looked bloody different without any mods or of the preset. Honestly I'm quite done of this bugs from Lightroom. These are the things that hold me back of putting my name out there for professional work. 😢

I have found that even with a preset that I have made each image still requires minor adjustments and tweaks to match the set as a whole. It’s just always a good exercise to look at the entire set and see if it looks and feels cohesive

Why do we brag about Andrew Johnson? He was literally one of the worst presidents. We should be bragging on the real American Hero, Davy Crockett! We should get a tavern and some historic events and maybe even a small frontier village. Mix the historic with bringing back some real American restaurants downtown like a quality diner and maybe a low key Irish pub, maybe a leather shop, some local family owned businesses, etc. Let’s get Auntie Ruth’s downtown! I’d be in that place daily.

I’m not 100% sure how his name got to be so prevalent in our area. There are some cool things happening in the area, but they aren’t happening overnight and they’re also going to need support once they open up so that they can succeed and others can follow suit. Would be cool to see a Davy Crockett themed location though

My favorite focal length for portaits is somewhere between 100-135mm but also love a good 35.. not a 50mm guy at all really. Also Jared throwing heat. I like some intentional motion blur
@_motioncreativemedia4 ай бұрын
When space allows, longer focal lengths are GREAT portrait lenses for sure. Garrett and I find that we can get most of the shots (mostly anywhere) that we want with 50mm. Intentional motion blur is fine.. especially if it helps tell the story within the photo!

That is literally the definition of prices of houses coming down. smh
@_motioncreativemedia7 ай бұрын
I think what he ultimately meant was they aren't coming back down to what they were "prior" to all of this elevated rates.. Meaning a $250k house ain't coming back down to be $250k.. at least that's what I got from it when he mentioned it on the podcast.
@fictitiousnightmares7 ай бұрын
@@_motioncreativemedia Well that is obvious, is it not? Have homes EVER gone back down to their previous price from years prior? Only during an event like '08 and it is temporary. Even in 2008 many places the prices only dropped 5% while some others reached as much as 35%. Either way, the median price for a U.S. home sold during the fourth quarter of 2008 fell to $180,100, down from $205,700 during the last quarter of 2007. That is an average of 12.5%. I mean that is like saying gas won't ever be a nickel a gallon again. Well, duh. And then he turns around and talks about how the prices ARE going down and how 'seller's have missed the boat'. Basically he is saying nonsense that sounds good to those who aren't listening.
@_motioncreativemedia7 ай бұрын
@@fictitiousnightmares that’s a fair point. I don’t think anyone expects them to depreciate or anything like that.. I guess what I think he meant mainly was that homes are coming to a price that’s a lot more realistic to the value vs where (at least here in TN) they were selling for FAR above value for quite a while. I suppose the value is “whatever someone will pay”, but with housing needing appropriate appraisal values, that has kept that in check for the most part
@_motioncreativemedia7 ай бұрын
@@fictitiousnightmares I’ll say this, too. Boy id love to see gas for 0.05 again lol 😂
