Taken this route so many times with easyjet. Love Montpellier. Dept from 30R. Love when it lands on 30R as it feels like the plane is about to land in the water.

Thanks for your very interesting comment. This was my first visit to Montpellier and it was a great little airport to fly from. BUT my arrival in France was to Béziers! which is an even smaller airport and great fun to touch down in. I will post a video of that flight soon. Best wishes

Good to see you back, I was only thinking about this one last week, a great time it was! And just love seeing these quality videos, I thought we had lost them for good. 😍🤩

Some of those Pan Am and TWA 747s really went for the greaser landings at the expense of half a mile of runway 😂

Good aircraft but poor timing. It came to the market just as all the big hitters were converting to jets.

An aircraft I know well. My father was chief toolmaker at Vickers on the Vanguard project and later the VC10 and TSR2 projects. That enabled me to visit the production line. After they were finished at Wisley they were often seen on test flights over my school in Guildford. Happy days.

Absolute aviation gold, Sir. Brings back many happy memories of my trips to LHR & LGW from an otherwise dreary weekend or school holidays at BHX, but we were all good mates in viewing lounge back then! Thanks again, MAH.

Summers when I was 5 to 7 years old, 1968-70 (3), flying from Toronto to Nova Scotia meant an Air Canada ( previously Trans Canada Airlines) trip in a Vanguard, my first and favourite airliner flights. My aunt who must have chosen different flight times for the same route seemed to end up in Viscounts, which I never flew on. Viscounts outlasted Vanguards on Air Canada by about three years. After that it was DC-9-32’s for my family going to see Grammy each summer. A different sort of thrill for a child but not as visceral as the four props spooling up at end of the runway brakes on then sudden release into intense acceleration.

I took first flight to HK in 1994 and the B747-400 had the lettuce sandwich livery on it , interesting to know when livery changed. Not sure in in 1989 Cathy Pacific had this livery. Can someone in the know enlighten me?
@MrFlashjet2 ай бұрын
1994 was when this livery was introduced.

I was lucky enough to work there ( BOAC and then BA) from 1964 until 2003. Happy days. I was also brought up under the flight path in Hounslow - boy werent those early jets noisy!

it is now September 8, 2024, and it is 01:08 AM Azerbaijan time. The plane landed at the airport of Ganja, the second largest city of Azerbaijan, which is only 4 km away from our house. I found the plane on flyradar mobile application and it was Airbus A320-214 with tail number 4k-az78 that you uploaded KZbin video 10 years ago and the plane has already changed its appearance and it is covered with the updated blue logo colors of Azerbaijan Airlines. Greetings from Azerbaijan.

Remember the routemasters with the trailers for the luggage. 1970’s for me, as a very young child. Check in west London terminal, then straight to the aircraft.

Ever flown in one? I have twice. Absolute rubble sh compared with the earlier Viscount. The Vanguard was not vk named the guards van - and not without reason.

That brilliant film pretty much encapsulates my entire working career! Also born in 1955, I joined Swissair in 1974 at the old T2 and stayed until it collapsed in 2000. A few more years airside with Swissport and Alitalia before my final move to Amadeus at WBC3 (later WBC4) on the Northside facing Rwy 27R. Thank you so much!
