Well done for doing both, I did the IAM test and became an observer then did the RoSPA test to see if they teach anything in a different way that I could use when I was observing for the IAM. I had comments that my mirror checks weren't obvious as I only needed to swivel my eyes and I wore a solid colour helmet which made it difficult for the observer to see me checking. A stick-on coloured blob made it easier to see. Observing is a difficult thing to do, you have to be completely at home on your bike and putting yourself deliberately out of position so the associate has a good view to the rear, having a trainee observer with you makes it far more entertaining as you have to assess the trainee observer as well as the associate! When I was an observer the volunteered contribution to Observer's costs was that, voluntary. Observers will spend about 3-4 hours with the associate and writing up a report on their riding for the group in addition to travelling to the start and from the end point of the ride. I would also offer to lead the associate back so they could see me ride and get them to comment on my riding as it is never perfect. In all the trainign and 2 hour test with a current or ex copper is well worth it. I missed on my RoSPA gold by what wouldn't be seen as a minor on a 'normal' bike test, that is how high the standards are. If you are thinking about doing your advanced test you are 90% of the way there as you are thinking about your riding, the rest is a bit of a polish and tweak. Insurers don't take it into consideration like they used to, which is unfortunate. I regularly ride with advanced riders and I have no worries about them as I know they are at least as good as me - and they will tell me if my standards have slipped.

The sound is pretty spot on with the ghost I reckon. The only benefit with using the osmo 4 over the ghost for video is the stabilisation on a helmet mount. It smooths out head movements better I think. Had to laugh about the drone footage. Couldn't count how often I've done that. So busy concentrating on flying the thing you forget to film.

You can tell its a mid week ride as there is traffic about. One thing about riding out you get to know where all the good and bad food and coffee stops are. Nice ride out with lots of overtaking entertainmnet. Thanks for sharing

Good helmet location there, but need a bigger fuzzy bit on microphone to cancel out the wind breathing noise... would do same with my microphone but my microphone is just rubbish so doesnt pick it up much lol.
