I have the blue one. I like the thumbhole on the Porcupine, better than the Thumbstud on the racoon.

It's a really good knife, but I hardly ever carry mine. Love the blade shape.

Great video. I've got one if these coming and wanted to watch a disassembly video just in case there was something weird but I'm glad to see it's simple. Looking forward to your review

Thanks for watching. It really is a pretty simple design and pretty easy to work on.

A lefty?? Why??

LOL, The gentleman that loaned it to me is a Lefty. Has a couple of lefty Bless knives. Donnie actually said he was making himself a lefty :D

Good video though. I do like yr videos typically. But i personally seem to watch less and less knife videos. But out of KZbin knife guys, I'd say yr in my top 3 to 5. I still count Shabazz as #1 even though he doesn't make many anymore. Along with keithkevinken who's retired from his videos, but to me he's like a friend. Keep up the good work

Thank you so much for the kind words. I really appreciate them, and I thank you for taking the time to leave a comment.

Ha, rob's nerdy knives also has a Lamia video right now. As i commented, how some call the Asher Spiro a "poor man's" Lamia. I don't. But i do fully endorse it. The current Spiro is so good. Has drop point & wharncliffe blade choices. With cpm s90v blade steel, that is very thick blade stock made for slicing. Along with nice contoured titanium scales. It's very good. At a very good price too. Least to me for all one get's now a days. His Nomad is also good. A crossbar lock, milled aluminum scales, also s90v, also drop point & wharncliffe. But thumb studs that reverse flick very well, with a little fuller. Both great knives!

Asher has some really good designs. I really like the Spiro Wharncliffe, I had one and sold it, and I need to get another! I have an Asher fixed blade on my belt today.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll see what I can do. I've changed my setup a little to try and not pull the knife off screen. Thanks again!

Wow I don’t mean this in a bad way, but it reminds me of my oz Roosevelt, but different. Definitely not a copy of clone but some similar styling that I love. I need to pick one up for the times I’m afraid to carry my Rosie
@helpwithgadgets5 күн бұрын
Yep, I had the same thought before I ever heard anyone make the comparison. I've had 3 Rosies, so wanted to try one out. The Porcupine is really good, but the action isn't anywhere near what I've experienced with the Rosies. That being said, the Porcupine was one of the knives in pocket today :D

My copper and black just arrived. I like it. Wish the micarta had more grip and the edge wasnt super sharp. I get to play with my worksharp 😂
@helpwithgadgets5 күн бұрын
Mine wasn't that sharp either, stropped it a bit and it's good now. I had heard that about the micarta, so wanted to try the G10. It's not bad.

@helpwithgadgets5 күн бұрын
I had to check both, they both have a small amount of chamfer, the button-lock model more so than the cross-bar model. I hadn't noticed either bothering me is why I had too check both!

You know what would look cool..if he did a hole in the flipper to kinda match the one in the blade.. that way it relieves a little weight while adding something Aesthetically.. that way the full size and shape stays the same.. but there's a little weight taken out!!!!!

I used be on a crew that would come in and pour the foundations for windmills.... the big ones..... THOSE guys.. that assemble them.... THEY HAVE THE LARGEST SET!!!!!!! Watching them set windmills is quiet the thing inits self..... there a lot bigger when your standing under them!!

No.... MOST roofs......suck doing anything on... I've seen some terrible accidents.. from people who should Have NEVER been on a roof!!!! I remember a few years back one of our local very old churches replaced its roof.. and it's like a 15 for 15!!! Not really but it's literally basically straight up and down.AND it's slate and copper...if you know you know... that's not for the weak at heart

I do have to admit... when i first starting watching this.... my mind went right to "bare roof with no shingles no waterproofing membrane"no NOTHING.. lol then it went to "are we on a porch in someone's backyard " lol.... then it wasn't until you started talking did i realize it was a picnic table!!!!
