Great job! 我是她的第一个小提琴老师。那时候她才7~8岁。是我邻居的小孩。每天放学后会来我家和我女儿一起学琴。一年左右学完了Suzuki 1~2册。(I was her first violin teacher. She was only 7 to 8 years old at that time. It's my neighbor's kid. She comes to my house every day after school to learn violin with my daughter. She finished studying Suzuki 1~2 volumes in about a year.)

Think its fair to say the composer of this piece didn't just tinker around with notes and create this piece...some MASSIVE experience or realisation about something very profound could only inspire this art....but if that is true....what thought or experience do you think was the catalyst for this piece?

J'ai découvert (sans doute plutôt redécouvert) cette oeuvre à cause du film "La Sentinelle" de Arnaud Desplechin, qui passe en ce moment sur Arte. Il intervient dans une scène cruciale.

A soulful, singing performance, gently shaping the beauty of this piece. So much better than the hard pressed, egocentric perfitmsnces of well known virtuosos

I know what you mean, some of the big names manage to make the piece sound boring, which is almost an achievement in itself. This one is great. Nigel Kennedy's version is one of the very best too.
So what happened to those saying NY Steinway tone is metallic and too brilliant?!

Oh, for to be Asian !!!!! She sounds like she's never made love before. She hasn't even imagined it . She probably doesn't even know where it is. It is so out of tune..... And she holds on to notes that are not to be held on to. In the introduction, that's to be like a cascading waterfall. She ended up hitting some boulders on the way down. It stopped the flow. I always find this trend very very curious. There are standards of how to perform different works and whoever has taught her has not shown her what the piece is about. It's about elegance, elan, being demonstrative, And even a bit coquettish, especially in the capricioso part. It should be very light in nature for those elements. If it's not light, It's usually because you're going too fast and you're not playing the passage evenly. If you slow down the tempo a miniscule amount, And if you keep everything even and very steady paced, you will actually give the sense of motion And it will seem that you are playing faster than you are playing. This girl is not ready for competition. Either that, or the standards have really fallen. This is not good performing.
