I’ll be your first comment here. Thank you! I’m going to use this method to make a baby sweater cuz I do not feel like crocheting snowflakes lol

I'm confused. I downloaded the pdf, but it says brim for 35 rows? And body says 88 rows.I don't understand this. Is this the correct pattern I'm seeing?

I'm pretty much a beginner. I've never seen a loom like the one you're showing how to make this shawl. Would it be possible to make this shawl on a long loom? If so, how many pegs would I need to get it to the size that you've gotten. If not, can you suggest a pattern for a shawl on the long loom. I don't sew and don't want to do sections and have to sew them together. TY for all of your help.

I'm sorry this may be easy for experienced knitters but for a beginner with a rotating loom, there is a big gap of instruction missing from @5:35 until the decrease. We left the gray yarn at the beginning, how do we continue? Same with both yarns after the cast on. We knit both looms, ok. How does one continue from there?

Do i do 18 rows for a square blank and 18 to 20 rows for the rectangle blanket i was just a little confused
@HypnoticHysteriaLooming3 ай бұрын
I honestly don't remember exactly what I did on this one, it's been a very long time since I made it. I did another where the first part before the first corner was 8-10 inches long. I like how that turned out.

Can this pattern be made on a regular round loom not double knitting?
@HypnoticHysteriaLooming3 ай бұрын
No, it's double knit in the round.
@dorgana683 ай бұрын
Sorry for the dumb question but why does this loom have that shape? What is its purpose to be like that?
@HypnoticHysteriaLooming3 ай бұрын
The shape looks odd. It's because there are 2 size toppers for this loom. The original size is a circle. To keep the base the same the LG topper was made to fit the original legs.

I just found out today that these were a thing. I've tried to use my loom several times but with arthritis it would become frustrating. I think this will help me make a blanket for my first grandbaby due in 2 months!❤

The texture can be added to any project. I suggest no texture on the bottom of the foot if you use it.
@1962tami5 ай бұрын
Brilliant idea on how to change up a hat to add texture, Amanda! I don't have that exact loom you are using but I do have the 72 peg KB Premium Round, would that be the same gauge? I guess with this technique you're using, it really doesn't matter what gauge the loom is as long as the yarn matches it, correct? Anyway, I love this beautiful hat. Thank you very much for sharing the tutorial ❤
@HypnoticHysteriaLooming5 ай бұрын
Yes the technique is the same.

the prym loom pegs are curved out instead of in like yours...it keeps the yarn where I want it. The prym also has a straight took like a knitting needle that helps too

I like this! My little cousins birthday is coming up next month so I thought I'd make a hat for him to wear next winter. He's 7 and average size for his age. What length would you make for the hat? I'm not sure what an average size is for that age.

When you change the background at row 17 what do you do with those slipped stitches on the ends? Do you work them with the new colors or do you keep slipping them the entire length of the scarf?
@HypnoticHysteriaLooming7 ай бұрын
I slip the 1st stitche(s) of each row. It leaves a smoother edge.

Can I use a different 60-peg loom? The one I have is bigger gage tho.
@HypnoticHysteriaLooming7 ай бұрын
Yes, and long loom or the kb rotation double knit loom (with xl topper) will work. If the gauge is larger I would swatch a small bit to see how it looks or go ahead and get a thicker yarn.

Is this a stitch i need to stay away from if im heavy handed on tight tension with 7/16 pegs?
@HypnoticHysteriaLooming7 ай бұрын
No, I have been loom knitting for close to 20 years now and I still struggle with my tension. Depending of the project, I like to use a tensioner. Its a tube you put over yarn to keep from holding the yarn too tight. It works with the e-wrap stitch best.
