@Georgia-k1q Hey! I'm not sure what you mean by '141 pages has to be attached with the civil complaint.' Not all federal filing forms for a civil complaint are the same in all states. There are some forms that can be used throughout any jurisdiction and those can be found on www.uscourts.gov. Each jurisdiction has it's own local rules so while you want to review the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure you also need to review the Civil Local Rules for your specific jurisdiction. Yes, filing fee amounts are different based on your jurisdiction. In addition, from the www.uscourts.gov site, you can search Fee Waiver Application Forms and get the application. Hope this helps!

@wayne7085 To obtain the state employees name, you can file a FOIA request to the department the employee works. You can Google 'FOIA Request' and then your city or county name (i.e. FOIA Request New Castle County) and they should have a form you can fill out and send to the dept. In that FOIA, you can request things you may need (i.e. employee reprimands, employee oath of office, and anything else you may need that's not exempt). They will have a certain # of days to respond by law. Some jurisdictions are 10 days so you can double check your jurisdiction. To file your lawsuit in federal court your case, based on your comment, would be based on a violation of federal law, 42 U.S.C. § 1983, also known as the Civil Rights Act of 1871...(and also called a 1983 lawsuit). 28 U.S.C. § 1331 - is called a ''federal question'' case. The law involved may be the United States Constitution or it may be a statute passed by Congress. Some may choose to file in state court depending on the circumstances of the case. For example, a defendant may violate your rights under the federal 1983 statute, but state law may give you more protection, so you may choose to file your case in state court rather than federal court. It's really up to you. Some file in federal because typically it's perceived that federal judges have better clerks, better experience, and better education, which may influence how well they adhere to established law, interpret statutes, and interpret case law. If you want to sue a government employee for violating your rights, you have to show that they acted under the Color of Law... This basically means that due to their position as a government official, they had the authority or perceived authority to carry out the enforcement of the law and misused that authority. @jermaineknox1092 IRP plates are annual renewal (same as plates on a car). It's not a set price across the board so I can't give you an exact price, but below is what we paid initially and then upon renewal. You can also contact your state for more info. Our plates in GA were $840 which was from Feb (date registered) until Aug (expiration date). Upon renewal it was $1,445. If you get the plate through the company you're leased onto then you wouldn't have to come up with the entire amount at once; they'd probably just deduct a set amount each time they pay you (that's how most companies do it). I'd check with the company your leased to as they can provide you the cost as well. Basically do you want to pay the full amount now or have it deducted. Hope this provides some clarity.

@PjPorter If it's a semi (tractor) it would be classified as V (over 75,000) so you could put 75,000 or 80,000 (the max)..... Your other option (or if you have a truck other than a semi) would be to take it to the scale to weigh it.

@jett888 I personally would name each of the officers that are involved and also their department. For example, in GA, the sheriff is responsible for ALL its deputies actions so if I would file a case against the sheriff's office I would list the specific deputies and then the sheriff as well. Of course, not all states are the same so you can also review some case law in your jurisdiction to see how others have handled similar situations. That's typically what I do prior to filing my caes(s). Hope this helps and hoping for success in your case!

@@staceyownsnothing Thank you. I won in the court against a person who maliciously filed a "workplace violence" restraining order. (She doesn't even work at the Park that she's trying to restrain me from and I've only met her for 40 seconds in my life and it was documented- nothing even aggressive was spoken) The judge (after having to go through 356+ pages of "evidence" found "NO Violence..." So, now I'm going to draw up a compilation of "Reckless disregard for the truth" as well as an injunctive relief, and a Civil Code 3334 (CA) for "Loss of use of Land" as a Private club has been locking a public arena in a public park and the Rangers and city officials are acting with deliberate indifference. Nobody answers letters and it was only after I sent a demand letter to all of them, demanding they remove the public nuisance lock the was placed on the public arena, and a respectful request of $$ for every day the locks remained- It was followed up the next day with the Private Club texting and emailing all these city officials saying she's going to file a restraining order on me (they replied: Sounds good) and they had meetings. So it seems like a lot of conspiring is taking place and a total disregard for the publics right to use park lands. The club has private remote cameras w/ auditory capability so anytime I go there they send people out to harass me. They called the cops twice who detained me twice- threatened to take away my horse and arrest me. There weren't any signs on the arena and I've used that facility for over 23 years. The community has used the arena for 41 years. Now they are calling it "Private" So I am using both the Estoppel and Laches argument in this case. On top of it, this club received a $25,000 "Neighborhood Reinvestment Grant" but yet they LOCK the arena and are blocking the public out for 5 years, 24/7. I have all the codes /laws behind me (CA Resource Code 5400-5409 as well as the cities own municipal codes.) The level of targeting against me because I'm speaking out is pretty disturbing. It seems they are only interested in targeting me because Other people cut the locks and use the facility but yet no police or actions have been brought on them, so it's time to stand up. These city officials and the private club (President) are acting corrupt. Thank you for your information.

Hey. Under Rule 73, the clerk will send that notice to both parties (Plantiff and Defendant) to complete. As the Plantiff on your filed complaint, you'd fill out that consent form as the Plantiff as well. Hope this helps!

Evening Stacey update on my case and I hope you can help me out. So I filed everything than I received a notice to resubmit a motion to proceed in forma paupperis and 2 Register with the e-filing system Ordered By the Magistrate Judge My deadline was set for May 31st well I did that and everything was stamped by the clerk. However I'm approaching the deadline and as of today nothing else has occurred in my case. Infact it's still saying cure deadline by May 31st I'm getting concerned and worried. I've called the clerk yesterday and today and they won't tell me anything. Except said if the judge needs me to do anything else sh will let me know. Well I don't know Why but I've just been worried sick and don't know what to do next. Those were the only 2 things that the judge had ordered me to do and I did it, and hopefully correct. I just haven't seen any activity in my case. I just want the ball to start rolling and get the defendant's served. Should I worry or is this just normal for them not to do anything with the case right away. I would appreciate it if you can at least eas my mind lol

@user-tr7fs3of4p Hey! If you've done everything asked of you, and you have the court stamped filings then it's really a waiting game. They'll notify you. You can also check your filings in the Pacer system, but as long as you have the stamped copies from the clerk then you've done your part. I waited months and months before I received anything from the judge. You can keep following up, but they have to notify you. Even if denied to proceed in forma pauperis, you can appeal it. It's very time consuming but as long as you do everything asked then you just wait for a response. Keep going! You got this!
