Regarding the DC version, You have to remember, most ppl that played pso on Gamecube and Xbox started out on the Dreamcast versions...it may seem unbalanced to you, but most ppl won't see it that way because that's were we started out....in 2001 in the DC

Kieran and Sean O’ Rorke definitely have done their best and put a lot of effort into AVGN and I have respect for them, but it’s just not the same without Mike, Kevin, Kyle Justin, Bootsy, etc.

Not to beat a dead shambler, but keyboard and mouse forever. This feels like someone who is very comfortable with the controller, but man it is not optimal.

Pepsiman saved 2019 AVGN. That was a good one. Honestly, I hated the Majora's Mask episode (don't remember if that was 2019 or 2020 or whatever). That one felt like clickbait. I have my own issues with Majora's Mask, but I also know it's a beloved game, so if I were in James' shoes, I would have reviewed it as myself, not as a character known for reviewing history's worst games (again, clickbait). I honestly think AVGN has picked back up since episode 200. The Last Ninja and the recent Deja Vu have that classic AVGN feel to them. Also happy people hold the EarthBound episode in high regard (I was one of the fans who's photo appeared in it :P ).

Personally for me, the avgn review that I can see on the worst list is the Treasure Master review. That episode felt WAY TOO FAST PACED AND DISJOINTED.

Honestly, I'm glad that James is getting a taste of his own medicine. 😂 I used to love AVGN, but his constant ranting got boring really quick. Now, after seeing how much the world has been ruined by hatred, I would rather listen to someone seek out the positives in these games, no matter how small they may be, and influence others to love rather than hate. ❤‍🩹

sure overall 2019 was his worst year, but in true avgn fashion, if you dig deep enough into the shitty toilet bowl of that year, you'll find some that are worth it. sure it had a few major stinkers but pepsiman and chex quest are some of my favorite episodes, and spawn games was fine. but yes, otherwise i agree, life of black tiger, aladdin deck enhancer, jurassic park: trespasser and the immortal are some of my least favorite videos ever. the type that, ill fall asleep to the avgn playlist, and when those episodes come up, ill wake up just to skip them XD

Every once in awhile go searching for out trigger videos to hear those iconic sounds and gameplay I spent hours on my Dreamcast! That intro with the man in black...hidden eyes with sinister smile and you see him just look down. Core memory

Men, i have to know more about the time loop, i would love to write something about this and make a game about the entire timeloop, not only that, the game must be infinite, it contains all phantasy stars and everytime you advance you endup doing the same, maybe it can be a game about making decitions or trying to break the loop.

The Shrek episode felt like a Nostalgia Critic Skit and I think it's supposed to be referencing The Wicker Man And solid list, these episodes were so boring and uncanny. Also Justin should be removed, he's a tumour ruinining James.

Peak Cinemassacre was Kyle, Bootsy, Mike and James. Nowadays it's the same intro every time, no title cards, no other personalities for the nerd to play off of. Just solo souless James every episode which is somehow worse than when Justin and Kieren and the rest of Screenwave were super involved. I recently watched the Glover episode and it was another mostly cringe episode where the one laugh I had was due to a hilarious South Park episode that was referenced. I've been watching since the beginning and I hate that things turned out this way. I wish things were different but they aren't and every new AVGN episode that comes out elicits only either cringe or apathy. It's very obvious this is just a job now and it isn't fun anymore. AVGN has helped me through some very dark times in my life, I even used to check out some of James' ASMR videos that are unrelated to AVGN when I was going through some life threatening medical issues. I love James and love most of what he's done over the decades and nobody is perfect but the decline in quality since Screenwave became involved and the original crew all left is absolutely brutal. With that all said, this is just my opinion so if you like AVGN nowadays then rock on, I'm legitimately happy for anyone enjoying the show still. Don't let someone like me ruin it for you, I'm just a diehard disappointed old fan.

I absolutely adore the AVGN episodes and James, but man he has dropped a few stinkers. The only one I would disagree with on this list is the Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, I thought the only problem with that video is it got stretched a bit thin due to the runtime.

I actually really like his Final Fight and Aladdin videos although I totally get why some wouldn't. Having Matt McMuscles come on out of nowhere was a bit lazy, but I thought he did a pretty good job and I enjoy his stuff anyway. Also, it was nice to see the Nerd go back to his roots with more NES games with the deck enhancer. Felt closer to his Action 52 video with him reviewing a bunch of games in quick succession

This video was awesome. PSO was such a huge and important part of my childhood. I'm not a gamer at all generally speaking. Never have been. but PSO I have been playing on and off for the last 24 years with my best friend Anthony. We started on Dreamcast with version 1, moved to GameCube when that happened, had a good stint on Ultima, and now we're both on ephinea. I don't play any other video games at all in life. But I will probably always play PSO. Keep on hunting brother!
