Great video! If you are an indie artist and you're not restricted with the software you use I highly recommend learning Blackmagic Fusion (Standalone or Inside DaVinci Resolve). It does everything that nuke does but with more user scripts and its integrated into the best color grading software on the planet. Paying 500 USD a year for an indie artists its a rip off. Fusion is free and if u want to get the full version its 350 USD with lifetime updates.

2:28 If your still having issues with your lights in Nuke, also try moving all values (except alpha) into 'Y.' I've had mixed results with both. Apologies about this, I'm still getting my head around Blender!

Hi All! At 2:21 it's left mouse click + CTRL to drag and link values. Massive apologies! Most of my Nuke shortcut keys are muscle memory at this point and got muddled when I was writing the script. Will try to be more careful in the future xx

Like the content BUT...... as a noob to Blender who is desperate for decent character modelling (preferably box modelling as I am rubbish at sculpting) could you produce a character modelling SERIES on box modelling a pixar-style character upto and including rigging?
@DropThePiProductionsАй бұрын
Hey, thanks your feedback! It's really useful to hear what people would find useful. I have got a bunch of videos lined up and a new series in the pipeline, but I'll see if I can incorporate this in somehow down the line ❤Also have you heard of www.youtube.com/@yansculpts ? They do a bunch of character sculpting videos, some of which are pixarish!

Hi! If your having issues with the lighting looking incorrect when using image sequence from Blenders, it's because of an issue with the Normals. Check out this video for how to fix this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iXSpdGWrdpWhrM0

Hi, great tutorial! I had the problem of incorrectly configuring the position pass and thanks to the tip you shared I was able to solve it, but then when I wanted to follow this gobo light tutorial, the spot light does not illuminate when I see it in the 2D view through the scanline render. It also doesn't let me illuminate my pointcloud from the front, it's as if it only allows me to do so from behind. Do you know what could be happening?
@DropThePiProductions2 ай бұрын
Hey, thanks so much, and thanks for flagging this. I've had a quick look at another one of my projects using a blender normals pass and I see what you mean. Had a quick play and I think I've found the solution. Check it out here: www.youtube.com/@DropThePiProductions/community - let me know if this works! 🤞
