Thank you very much! I finally uderstood why cancer cells are detected by immune system! But I have a remaining question: why the levels of cd19 protein are elevated in tumor cells? It happens just in tumor leucokites or in all cells? What is the normal function of cd19 protein?

I feel there is so much more that could be said concerning this. In 2016 they did manage to partially restore CFTR function to knock out mice. There are lots more issues with mRNA therapy than those listed here. It's also not true that carriers don't suffer. Carrier status of certain mutations is strongly linked to COPD for example. Lastly , what about therapies such as curcumin? These are known to improve both folding and transportation of the protein to the cell membrane.

Why did the DNA need to be added to a plasmid and an organism, if only copies of DNA were required couldn't we have just photocopied them in PCR?

The main problem with this video is that during the insertion into the plasmid, not all the plasmids will pick up the insert. When the bacteria is heat shocked, some bacteria will pick up plasmid with the insert, some will pick up plasmid without the insert. The video is missing the step to ensure the selected colony picked up the plasmid with the insert.

Thank goodness for these wonderful scientists and physicians. I work with a nine year old with type 1, and want so much for older children to be given this same opportunity. She is so smart, and she needs to know there is hope for her. Even if only some improvement in the quality of her life, it's worth whatever the price. 2.1 million/child is so much money, how many children affected and how to afford the treatment, for all?

Did you have to begin the video with a picture of hypodermic needles injecting a plant? These hypodermic needles are a regular feature of the omnipresent anti--GMO propaganda, but play no part whatsoever in the actual methods of creating GMO crops. I have to admit, though, that your animation might be showing syringes without needles. Such syringes might be used to transfer a precisely measured amount of one liquid into another.

Why is science so slow to advance? 20 Years?? - If the medical profession can advance vaccination in Covid- then surely scientists should unite in their expertise and be able to get to grip with eyes. Is the world holding science back, or do scientists lack experimentation??? If I look to right on the screen I can see Vision for the future - posted 5 years ago. Glaucoma long term results in blindness. We don't time have time hang around ..... You eye doctors and geneticists need to get together to discuss and plough through those luddites who don't care or want to advance.... Good Luck.
