Beautiful job on the restoration. What was that solution you used on electrolysis and why did you have the ( + ) red wire hooked to the parts and the ( - ) black wire to your sacrificial twist of heavy wire? That wiring pattern is backwards from the way electrolysis is normally done.

@@superrestoration01 Not at all. You are working with brass so I thought maybe there was a reason for doing it that way. Even at 75 you are never to old to learn.

I like the pump. For me it looks like it is handmade. I had replaced the screws but did not change anything else. It should still look handmade.

My house was built in 1996. When I moved there in 2007 the first thing I did was get rid of all the godamn brass ceiling fans and light fixtures!

Could have done most of that work on a grinding wheel and your handles could do with some hardwood and better shaping. They just look like blocks of pine glued on the end

I dunno how can we assume that was water when we didn't see it go into said water bottle I'm just assuming all the fluid you use from now on is piss because there is not evidence DISPROVING IT. That's what all your haters sound like to me

It’s crazy that there’s still a knife under there to restore it but you did it so I liked that what I didn’t like is that you didn’t get rid of all the pits and really shine the heck out of it but hey still decent for what condition it was in to begin with

So you put a blade in mud for a few weeks and then clean it and deal with a little surface rust and call it a restoration?
