I like this light a lot until time to replace batteries. Even using this video as a guide, I push in the first battery. The second doesn't align easily. Shake it to align it? Its hung on the first battery with no play. Takes way too long. I recommend a different light.

The slot is so deep, it's challenging to get the first two batteries deep in the slot when the spring is pushing them out. It's a bit of a dream to suggest wiggling will somehow counteract the force of the spring.

Why not have a camera that can detect the UV light directly, that way you can see farther underwater? Then by using a color filter you could increase the contrast of the resulting image to match our eyes. Hmm a camera that also uses sonar and polarized light would also be awesome...
@sergeig6854 жыл бұрын
You missed the point. You don't see UV light. The marine creatures when illuminated with a UV light fluoress and produce a different wavelength (color) that is caught by the eye/camera. They do not produce UV light.

I wonder if you might fit diving masks with a *flick in* yellow filter? Like a yellow filter that you slide into the mask to filter the blue light out.

is staring at the UV light harmful to the eyes?
@HeLrAiSiNg15 жыл бұрын
I don’t think unless you would be blind from the sun already cause you are exposed to it everyday just you can’t see it also the harmful would be the solarium lamps if so even for these u wear glasses only for precaution and that’s it
@HeLrAiSiNg15 жыл бұрын
johnsarangel also I forget uv is harmful on high concentration which nowhere is presented might be it like you taking magnifying glass and use it on sun Kind off

Sorry but I have to be honest. Maybe something to do with the company buyout who knows. However I can't recommend the Aqualite PRO 20 eLED for the following reasons. 1. When using the rubber hand mount you should be sure to install the included Philips screw to secure it, don't trust the plastic latch. My light came loose and got lost prior to using the screw. Fortunately I recovered the light on at the bottom of the lake. 2. Purchased at the end of 2018 and on first dive (with clean o-ring seals, proper silicon, and secured light head) the unit flooded and had to be sent in for replacement. The turnaround took way too long for replacement, this just after the company was being handed off. Of course the LDS, local dive shop, wan't going to offer one from their stock as the warranty is with UK. At the same time a previous diver had the same model flood before mine and another divers flooded just after mine. 3. When using the rubber hand mount it is quite difficult at times to twist the tail cap for the different standard light modes. Further more its extremely hard to operate the SOS feature properly even when not mounted on the back of the hand. All in all these are design issues. 4. Recently after one year of diving and maintaining clean o-ring seals found a bit of moisture inside the light head, didn't kill the LED but left dried salt fog all over the mirror reflector cone. No way to wipe the cone clean as the LED mount is glued or press fit into the head. I enjoy the light weight compact and back of the hand mount but the light simply is not reliable to stay in my fleet of gear after all these pointed out hassles and not isolated to just me. And this is why we always dive with multiple lights. Others may have good results but I think there is better options especially in the LED light market as there is a lot of varied options in the market place.

I got a surefoot this month. With the bottom light I thought it would be the ultimate emergency flashlight. It would have been if the button was not so hard to turn on. The streamlight dualie is much easier to turn on. On the sure foot we have to really mash down on the on button to activate the light.

I cannot get it in I put the first 2 then the 3rd one just does not go in place

Hi, would like to know if using an UV light, do i still need yellow filters? will yellow filters affect much when using UV light instead of blue light? Tq
@phyvo8 жыл бұрын
Shouldn't need any filters for a UV light, the advantage of UV is that you cannot see the light from the light source so no filter is necessary. All you see will be the light the sea life is emitting as it absorbs energy from UV light.

why is this uv not dangerous?
@UnderwaterKineticsPR10 жыл бұрын
The UV light emitted from the dive light is relatively low in intensity and in very short exposure times. UV is only dangerous in extremely high concentrations and long exposures - neither of which are present with the UV dive light.
