白糠線、廃止直前は黒字だった。現在の廃線跡は廃止前の面影はほとんどありませんね。

I never experienced this era of KCR but I'm glad that this documentary is here for us all to learn the illustrious history behind today's railway.

Dat Music (I would like to express my condolensces to Ray, my friend and the channel's owner, who sadly passed away in October 2020 after a heroic fight with cancer.) (He has done a lot to the railway enthusiast community here in Hong Kong. He has an unfinished project of reviving steam in Hong Kong.) (I hope one day I, or someone else indeed, could finish the project on his behalf.) (Rest in peace my friend. It's been a good run.)
The cine film and commentary in this video was made by Mike Cuningham a former Hong Kong Government civil servant who was a railway enthusiast and part of the informal group of enthusiasts which went on to form the Hong Kong Railway Society in the 1980s. Mike Cuningham also recorded cine footage of the Alishan Forest Railway in Taiwan.

Would be nice if the original film stock were rescanned and restored, but I doubt that this would be feasible

@@matthewyuen9137 I agree but tracking down the cine film after some 43 years would be difficult.
