This cannot have been the first time he learns about the horcruxes. The book was way too accessible and Tom was way to ambitious to not have read it probably by his first year. By this point, he probably already made the ring into a horcrux since the book says he steals the ring from Morfin and proceeds to kill his father after taking it. Most likely the book doesn't make any mention about multiple horcruxes being possible which I think is the real reason he goes to slughorn

Dumbeldore exercised blunders getting emotional : 1) While in younge age he made blood pact with grindelwald without thinking about its consequences. 2) He got lured towards resurrection stone and got affected by curse placed by voldemort on the ring which forced him to die and pass on his responsibility onto Severus Snape . 3) He failed to gave the warmth and love he gave to Harry, Money isn't everything if he would have gave moral values to tom riddle he would have never chosen wrong options .

Whats really chilling about thiz scene is the fact that he has the ring. The oy reason he has it, is because he killed his father, his wife, and their child, and made his uncle think he did it, sending him to azkaban. Meaning, his soul is already split.

Riddle's first kill was his father and paternal grandparents, erasing all traces of his muggle bloodline at the age of 15, this was when he was able to turn the ring into a horcrux his next kill, when he was 16, was when he used the basilisk to kill Myrtle, although he hadn't planned on killing her like that and her death was an accident, he was still able to use this murder to turn the diary into a horcrux considering how he kills as easily as he breathes, he could have made a hundred horcruxes if he wished

Thry should make it that snape made a horcrux when he killed dumbledore. And he is still arround in the wand. Like how harry became a horcrux on accident. It would have been a cool believeabke way to bring snape back.

I was today years old when I realized when Dumboldore said “I believe I just found another one. To destroy it I fear I must ask to much of you again Harry” Is dumbldore realizing in real time Harry must die. Dark magic leaves traces. Maybe the boy who lived was marked?

Wtf, the ring didn’t belong to Tom’s mother but to his grandfather and then uncle… I swear people didn’t put their soul in making of these movies like Jackson and his team did with the LoTR. I love HP books and it rips my soul to witness disregard to details 😢

Chris Colombus did. Many people dislike his movies, but he was truer to the books. Then Cuaron made a very artistic film, but removed half the book. And the following were even worse. By the way, Peter Jackson took lots of liberties with LOTR, but he kept their essence and made a masterpiece.

@@MaríaCarlaGonzález-z6i probably. But my point was not about adaptations but blunt misconnection of events and characters in HP Ps, ok it was not Arwen who took Frodo to Imladris but Glorfindel. It was not Elrond but Glorfindel who brought Anduril to Aragorn. But those adaptations didn’t do any harm to the storytelling. How saying it was Tom’s grandfather’s ring would be any difficult? Yep, because they just didn’t give a f and didn’t care to check the original story. That’s the difference

Sometimes I wondered, while whatching HP films, if anyone actually read the books, since they usually removed parts, characters and phrases and replaced then with some of their own. So what's the point? (HP6 is the best example of It).People who didn't read the books and just know Harry Potter from films may be very confused at times.

Apart from the brilliant acting here, as a sound engineer i want to point out the eerie use of delyays (echo) and reverb and the uncomfortable highlighting of sybillant sounds ... like the hissing of a snake, brr brr brr ... brilliantly done

What I find fascinating is how Tom's eyes light up when he hears the words "in other words you cannot die". He now understands his destiny and what it takes to achieve it. He knows he's going to have to murder someone, but the temptation of ultimate power is too irresistible for him.
