at 18:44 you state that the normal force is the same at as the friction force. I believe that is incorrect. you say that my_s*N=43.3 is the same as w*cos(30deg). how can it be the same. if: my_s=0.25 w=200lbs my_s*(w*cos(30deg))=43.3lbs w*cos(30deg)= 173.2lbs

on the question, they said that neglecting the friction loss, why you consider the friction ?
@WoodsDS-2768

she is neglecting the friction loss between the rope and the pully. but you have to consider the fritction between the box and the slope

30*18 = 540 this changes the total force to 900 kips making Ey = 37.5 kips and Ay = 22.5 kips. Time 6:46

How can refraction be calculated on distance alone? Wouldn't the amount of this deviation vary due to things like air pressure and density, humidity, temperature, and elevation?

Seeing that errors become greater over distance why not just limit the range to the rod? I have witnessed people using lasers at six to ten miles and the spread of the beam becomes to great to measure a point. Anyway this error in the atmosphere show how important a clear line of sight is too a surveyor.

maim can you plz help me how to find e50 and 395 of the above data ?
@astridnorthrup4263
@astridnorthrup4263 4 жыл бұрын
I am sorry for the late reply! The e50 and e95 errors are both based on the standard deviation. They are in fact the number of standard deviations that capture 50% and 95% of the data, respectively. So, E50 = 0.6745 multiplied by the standard deviation, and E95 = 1.9599 multiplied by the standard deviation.
