@joegonzalez64035 сағат бұрын

@ryanleclaire39483 сағат бұрын
Buddy, you can still get big shoulders with the right approach. What a cop out
@RyubearSaysGaoСағат бұрын
You still have to hit the gym five times a week and dial in on food intake, though. Also, doing either of these without a test base, is not doing you any favours.

Well, the elbow connections with the biceps turned out to be my only weak spot in my body, sensitive to be easily injured. Got me some long lasting injuries on both elbows, lasting for a very long time and can today still be felt during every workout. THAT... makes it very heavy to put more focus on my bicep training. Unfortunately...
@billagap32135 сағат бұрын
With sufficient chest volume (especially if you're doing incline presses which you should) i think the emphasis should be given on side and rear delts and mostly side delts since rear delts are also hit on back exercises. And after you've destroyed your side and rear delts then shoulder press.

@str1ker_eureka7 сағат бұрын
I’m sure training them all in the same session is fine, but personally I do my shoulder presses (front delts) in my chest workout, my side delts in my arm workout, and my rear delts on back day
@yahiaayman2386 сағат бұрын
Sure, you can do them on the same session. It depends on your current split. However, I prefer to increase the volume of side and rear delts and hit them 4 times a week and train my front delts on push days (2xweek)

I often have weird sleep patterns but regardless I count all my hours no matter where they fall and lately make sure im getting 8-10 hours of sleep every 24 hours. I also only train every other day and make any split im doing work around this. Doing this allows me at 46 years old (and natural) to go all out with both volume and intensity every workout at a high work capacity. example being today I did 40 sets to failure, (not counting warm up sets of which there were alot) I don't recommend anyone do this lol I just did it simply as a spontaneous 'because I can' and was 'feeling it' But I mention such as an example of how good rest/sleep and focus on recovery can have you feel almost superhuman when it comes to work capacity (volume/intensity/load) giving you a lot better options for growth even as an advanced lifter

Old school training was all about compound exercises. Isolation and shaping exercises are for when you actually have enough muscle. I see alot of guys doing cable crossovers for their chest but they dont have enough chest mass to shape and cant bench 2 plates aside.

Well, then what is the ideal split???? Everyone says dont do Bro splits and you have to do each body part twice in a week. That does not allow for an arm day. I am so sick of the contradiction
@lachmyster20 сағат бұрын
Train upper body all together twice a week. One of the sessions hit heavy compounds first, then train arms at the end. Other session start with arms when they're fresh, then hit chest back and shoulder isolation exercises. I've been seeing great gains doing this instead of always hitting arms after the rest of upper body when I'm tired.

One split I used to do when I was a late beginner/intermediate was a traditional upper lower 2x per week, with an arm day on a 5th day. So it was upper,lower, rest, upper, lower,arms,rest. This actually allows you to hit arms 3x per week with at least one day where they are hit first and prioritized. You could even do what the other guy said and have one of the upper days be a more arm focused day

But the pump lasts approximately one hour (give or take) whereas the muscle building recovery lasts several hours or days. So does the blood and its nutrients brought by the pump really that important? I am not sold on the fact that the pump is all that important for naturals. It feels good but maybe it is not a good metric (i.e. if you try to optimize your training to get the biggest pump, it could be at the detriment of more important factors).
