Bummer about that intake Drew but I know you'll get it fixed...or just leave it...I probably would lol. My take is just like yours...no one ever comes to my house and grabs a model off my shelf to look at it. Fantastic work on that instrument panel though man

Looks awesome, thanks for the build. I'm building my first Stuka model, same kit. Didn't fit at the wing/fuselage joint for me, and I had to sand about a half mm. So I didn't need any filler. It's a super cheap kit, what else do you want, lol. It definitely takes some creativity to get this kit good. Biggest problem with this kit: No post holes for the gun pods. I just cut the nubs off and glued it to the pads where the holes should have been! once you put the wing/pod interface pieces on, it becomes obvious. They do tilt a certain way so keep left/right...right? Yeah, I'm dreading the canopy mask!

Great series, Drew and nice job on the kit. I haven't built one of Tamiya's 1/48 armor kits yet, but I am looking forward to it. The cat showing up reminded me of those great movies in the '50s... you know, the ones where a cat gets mutated from nuclear testing in the Nevada desert and rampages through Vegas. Anyway, great stuff, amigo. What's next?

I built one recently. I was aware of the fitting of the main body and front fuselage. I built the old monogram as a kid. I built this revell for nostalgia reasons. This time instead of glueing the main body top and bottom together. I glued the front with top first or bottom whichever. Once the top and front fuselage has been glued. i then glued the bottom joint to the front.

I´m building this one right now and it´s the 3rd Hellcat I´m working on, first as the Hobby Boss brand. The cockpit seems huge compared to eduard´s ou hasegawa´s. It seems the cockpit and specially the seat is in 1/32 scale. I´ll probably replace the seat with some spare one in real 1/48. Other than that it´s a nice and cheat kit, and it got the option to put the wings in the fold position.
