Anti-cancer promoters: meat and milk of ruminant animals Here is a summary of ten research studies on the anti-cancer benefits of trans-vaccenic acid (TVA), a naturally occurring trans fatty acid found primarily in ruminant-derived foods 1. **"Trans-vaccenic acid reprograms CD8+ T cells and anti-tumor immunity"** by Bose et al. (2023) - This study found that TVA improves the ability of CD8+ T cells to infiltrate tumors and kill cancer cells. Patients with higher levels of TVA in their blood responded better to immunotherapy, suggesting TVA could be a nutritional supplement to complement cancer treatments. 2. **"Trans-11 Vaccenic Acid Has Anticarcinogenic Properties in Experimental Models"** by Banni et al. (2001) - The researchers demonstrated that TVA inhibited the growth of mammary tumors in rats, indicating potential anticancer effects. 3. **"Vaccenic Acid Feeding Increases Tissue Levels of Conjugated Linoleic Acid and Suppresses Development of Premalignant Lesions in Rat Mammary Gland"** by Lock et al. (2004) - This study showed that dietary TVA increased conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) levels in rat tissues and reduced the development of precancerous lesions in the mammary gland. 4. **"Trans-11 Vaccenic Acid Reduces the Risk for Experimental Colitis in Mice"** by Jaudszus et al. (2012) - The authors found that TVA supplementation reduced inflammation and the risk of colitis in a mouse model, suggesting potential benefits for gut health and cancer prevention. 5. **"Vaccenic Acid and trans Fatty Acid Isomers from Partially Hydrogenated Oil Both Adversely Affect LDL Cholesterol: A Double-Blind, Randomized Controlled Trial"** by Gebauer et al. (2015) - While this study found that both natural TVA and industrial trans fats increased LDL cholesterol, it highlights the need to distinguish between these sources when considering health effects. 6. **"Trans-Vaccenic Acid Is Converted to Conjugated Linoleic Acid in Mice"** by Santora et al. (2000) - The researchers showed that TVA is converted to CLA in mouse tissues, which may contribute to its potential anti-cancer benefits. 7. **"Trans-Vaccenic Acid Is Desaturated to Conjugated Linoleic Acid in Mice"** by Turpeinen et al. (2002) - This study confirmed that TVA is converted to CLA in mouse tissues, supporting the potential health benefits of TVA through its metabolic conversion. 8. **"Trans-11 Vaccenic Acid Reduces Hepatic Lipogenesis and Chylomicron Secretion in JCR:LA-cp Rats"** by Wang et al. (2008) - The authors demonstrated that TVA reduced liver fat synthesis and the secretion of lipid-carrying particles in a rat model of metabolic syndrome, which may have implications for cancer prevention. 9. **"Comparison of Conjugated Linoleic Acid and Vaccenic Acid in Milk Fat of Sheep, Goats, and Buffaloes"** by Mele et al. (2009) - This study analyzed the TVA and CLA content in milk from different ruminant species, providing insights into the variability of these potentially anti-cancer fatty acids in dairy products. 10. **"Trans-Vaccenic Acid Has a Higher Bioavailability than cis-Vaccenic Acid in the Rat"** by Chardigny et al. (2003) - The researchers found that TVA had a higher bioavailability compared to its cis isomer, suggesting that it may be more effectively absorbed and utilized by the body for potential health benefits. These studies collectively suggest that TVA, a naturally occurring trans fatty acid found primarily in ruminant-derived foods, may have anti-cancer properties related to immune function, tumor suppression, and metabolic conversion to CLA

This is an asshole who doesn't know the difference between the incomplete proteins of plants and the complete amino acid pattern found only in animal products. No combination of plant protein (grains and legumes) will ever equal the complete protein found only in animal products 🍖🍗🥓🥓🥩🥚. The species appropriate diet for humans is carnivore.

That's the assumption we don't eat these fruits and vegetables sprayed with bad chemicals... Pesticides in your fruit and veges linked to cancer The Environmental Working Group (EWG) releases an annual guide called the “Dirty Dozen” that lists the 12 fruits and vegetables found to be most contaminated with pesticides12. According to the 2024 guide, the following fruits and vegetables were found to be most contaminated: Strawberries: The average American eats about eight pounds of fresh strawberries a year, which come with dozens of pesticides, including chemicals linked to cancer and reproductive damage. Spinach: This nutrient-rich vegetable also contains EU-banned pesticides1. Kale, collard & mustard greens: More than half of kale samples were tainted by possibly cancer-causing pesticides. Grapes: Grapes jumped from No. 8 on the list in 2023 all the way up to No. 4 in 20243. Peaches: These fruits pack a punch when it comes to pesticide contamination1. Pears: Pears are among the most pesticide-contaminated fruits. Nectarines Apples: Apples are often doused with chemicals after harvest1. Bell & hot Peppers Cherries Blueberries Green Beans: Green beans join the Dirty Dozen, tainted by a pesticide EPA banned over 10 years ago . The guide is based on the analysis of the 2024fruit and vegetable testing data from the Department of Agriculture and Food and Drug Administration.

While my own review of the current literature on osteoporosis suggests there is nothing wrong with everything Dr. Graham says here I remain skeptical. No, not of the data but of the person. It began 10 or so years ago with his seeming co-opting of the already established dietary ratio of carbs:fat:protein. Did he post or refer to any citations? Where’s the research on “legumes”?!!! There are incredibly dedicated scientists helping us understand the Whole Food Plant Based Diet and there are others on the periphery who see an opportunity to make some money. You decide. I believe one may find a better video webinar by Michael Greger, MD over on “NutritionFacts.org” Meanwhile here’s an old video about the 80:10:10 ratio. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYWxiGSsq7lkhZIsi=S5y2DK0tQEP4wxxD

I don't speak from any divine revelation or claim I know this to be a fact. However, if you read Genesis, you see at the beginning God's perfect creation did not include death of humans, or animals. Adam and Eve did not eat animals. Something terrible happened when man (and woman) fell and we've suffered ever since. The Bible informs us (for those of us that believe the Bible) that the result of sin is death. Perhaps prions is but one sin that results in death. Just my opinion.....not speaking for God, just my interpretation of what I see.

Thirty year vegan here. I used to, and still do sometimes, say "I don't eat meat, and I'm allergic to eggs and dairy, and honey" interestingly, people tend to pay more attention when you say that 'a' word, and people often become quite aggressive and hateful with the v word. And people tended to not understand when the words vegan or even vegetarian, were said. Even today there is so much ignorance.

Excess protein = excess aminos which get stripped of N to get usable carbs resulting in excess N, damaging the liver and kidneys in the process of eliminating it from our "system". I love it, except the milk part :) milk is super food and is a good source of B-12 as well. Last comment sh disses bread in the end as highly processed food but there is a pic of bread next to lettuce at 37:00 just sayin (I love bread too)
