This song absolutely the best off all.

I remember hearing Carl Cox saying something along the lines of "some of the best mixes ever will have mistakes in them, but that is because the DJ is working to the absolute best of their ability to make that set the best it can possibly be". I would much rather hear that human element, hear the imperfections along with the craft and performance of a DJ working hard, than have it all pretty much done for you now with autocue and beat matching. I can't help but feel that the increased technology has actually had a negative impact on the performance - that feeling of a set being crafted by a human DJ not just a clever mixing machine.

I never liked using those 1200s. I invested in Vestax when they first came out in maybe 2004. The fidelity and responsiveness is just far superior. All credit to due to Technics for the legacy, but engineering is engineering.

'Beatmatching' issue is due to how those tracks were edited using reel to reel tapes. The lady who did it used scissors and tape to edit them.. This is where bill gates got 'Cut and paste'. The result was tiny jumps in time, so one could have to correct pitch but it still jump out of beat. This is especially noticeable if you try mixing Chicago Trax label records.
