@DanielGivensАй бұрын
yes, if you get to the bottom of krebs where high top, pine ridge, swift run meet you can then get to pardee by turning right onto high top if you want to go down or continue straight on swift run to climb it. theres a good fence line trail thats at the end of krebs as well.

Hey Man, like the channel. Curious what rules PA has as far as playing a 2 stroke? I’ve currently got a 2019 EXCF that comes plated from the factory with a motorcycle title. But the 2 stroke 300TE I want only comes with an “Off Road” Title, and in KY you can’t plate that title. Wondering if I could register it in PA, and ride it in KY ? Thanks
@DanielGivens4 ай бұрын
Thanks! So, I am no expert, but I will try to answer as best I can. Short answer, you probably wouldn't be able to easily register in PA. I am actually based out of Maryland, but familiar enough with PA to know that they have what's referred to as an "enhanced inspection" process for this type of situation that involves adding all the required components (mirrors, horn, blinkers, lights, etc...) and getting a new title issued once the vehicle passes the enhanced inspection. I am not sure if KY has anything similar to the process that PA has available, but that is the surefire method since PennDOT has recently become stricter and started revoking titles on bikes that are not street legal from the factory, which they are able to target based on VIN numbers. If there isn't anything like that in KY, then I would advise looking into Dirt Legal's services. I haven't used them before myself, so I am not totally sure how it works, but I ride with a few folks that went that route and they seem satisfied. Doing so should be fine for you as long as KY and your insurance provider do not have issues with out-of-state registration. Again I am no expert, but hope this helps. Good luck!

OK I am subscribed!!!! Y'all hit Green Mountain and 495 trail in the same day. That's awesome. Hold on, 495 twice!!!! I remember when me and my boys found the 495 trail and tried it, after ducking under several trees and over several more mixed in with the boulder field. We quickly ran out of talent, motivation and talent. Green mountain and running the outer loop (493) from the bottom up is about all the excitement my skill level can handle. Great video.
@DanielGivens4 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment and subscribing! 495 is no joke and it was apparently a little greasy that day, so I am eager to try it again earlier in the day and in drier cobditions. Either way, anybody that gives it a shot is a badass in my book, so props to you and your crew. Green mountain is also punishing in its own way, but it always feels good to complete it. Nothing good comes easy I guess.

Yes, you definitely needed momentum to get up "hero hill" as you called it in the video. I was one of the guys that helped map and put this alternate in. We called the trail "easy." I was stoked when I heard you guys say "I did not expect this" lol. We actually had one of our guys rip his bicep test riding this the weekend before the event. We had people say the alternates were too easy in the past hence the name. We actually had a second part to this alternate called "too easy" but they unfortunately cut it out of the ride. It was a downhill solid rock garden but I guess our other members thought it was too difficult. I was also just curious what your thoughts were about that section to see if we should make improvementsfor next year?
@DanielGivens4 ай бұрын
Bring it on! Hahaha! Seriously though, thanks for all your hard work. In general, it could be useful if there were trail descriptions for the alternates provided with the rest of the docs, thinking maybe had more riders been somewhat aware of what was ahead in that section it might've kept some of the traffic down and more clean runs up it could've happened. If there was some extra detail about it in the roll chart then I must have missed it. Most of the other regional DS events give a little run down of the options and sometimes have a difficulty rating system, just a thought.
@inline6josh4 ай бұрын
First time at this event. Been doing enduros, dual sports, hare scrambles for years. I have never seen the "detours" are actually the hard part of the course? Wouldn't the main course be the hard part and then there are "detours" around the hard parts? Not vice versa? I missed all the sections thinking "No, I don't want to detour around anything. I want to stay on the main course"? Super weird...
@DanielGivens4 ай бұрын
@@inline6josh Aw man, that’s too bad. Just about every dual sport event I have been to has had a main course with options/alternates along the main course that vary in challenge. At least that’s how they do it in PA at RORR Dual Sport, Michaux Dual Sport, and Seven Mountains Dual Sport, so if you end up doing any of those be sure to hit the “detours” for the good stuff.

I agree that Sunday seems to stand out. Those motocamp trails are so sweet. This is only my 2nd time attending so I cant really speak to people getting pulled over, but will say that in my crew's case it could've been avoided entirely with few nuts and bolts and a little prep work.

Sure, it is mostly rocky, but so are a lot of the areas we are still allowed to ride, especially those that are shared with ATVs. Just gotta learn to love it and keep the momentum up. Mousses and clicker adjustments definitely help, too. The jeep trails as well as a few of the ATV trails at Taskers have sections that aren't extremely rocky, but it's kinda hard to beat $30 a year for a pass. I recommend it and intend on spending a lot more time there this year myself.
