Nice video. What time of year is this? And how cold is it? Just wanna know what i can get in Chicago, since I am a North-Norwegian native (we have some cold weather up here naturally).
@Chefleroy20124 күн бұрын
This was in February and the temps are in the 30's to 40's Fahrenheit. Chicago weather can be very unpredictable because of Lake Michigan, lots of lake affect weather.

Well, I don't have any intel on that, although I know it is a bit expensive just visiting for a few days. I think with all trips, they are and should be considered time away from your normal day in a life. So spend the money wisely.

A trick for you. Run the jar with contents without a lid first. This draws the air pockets from the food and will condense it. Then, run a second time with the lid to get a perfect airless sear

I add ginger, jalapeno, and whatever meat i have left over. And if you dont have any meat a can of tuna, or canned chicken works.

Is the lid on your USVX noisy on the hinges when lift? I just got a USVX and everytime I lift or lower the lid the hinges are very noisy. Maybe this is normal or maybe I have a problem.
@Chefleroy2012Ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment, I really don't have any issues with the lid being noisy. You could reach out to Avid Armor for advise, would also could try a little mineral oil on the hinges and see if this helps. Thanks for watching, Chef LeRoy.

Hey Chef! Thanks for sharing. Just a little tip from us but if you weren't using the highest setting then we would suggest using that setting for any high moisture proteins and maybe use a slightly smaller bag for each piece so that if forms a tighter vacuum with less chance of freezer burn. Cheers!

Thanks for the tip, usually I do not freeze items for an extended time, but I will give it a try with some fresh walleye I have.

Thanks for sharing this street, How did you end up choosing this monjayaki restaurant since there are so many choices?
@Chefleroy20122 ай бұрын
I think the server was the main reason, he came outside while we were trying to understand the concept, and explained how it worked. We were still a bit undecided because as you said, there are so many restaurants. The other factor was that they still had a couple seats open, where a lot of the other places had people waiting in line. We really enjoyed this restaurant and being part of the local community. Thank you for your question.

Well you do have a point, but of the 45% that come from Mexico there are another 57 countries that grow avocados, so not all are controlled by the cartel.

I find the lid of my pot to be really loose when I am cooking and it causes the condensed water or sauce to fall down on the external wall of the pot and it gets really dirty. Is that normal?
@Chefleroy20124 ай бұрын
That is not normal, make sure you release the pressure with the button on the lid handle. You may have to do this a few times while cooking liquids. I hope this helps
