Great review. Curious if in 2024 the devs followed their road map and continued to add content to this game? Anybody know? Thanks.

Can you speak to how it's gameplay/combat feels to other side-scrollers? Like, if I enjoy things like Cookie Cutter or Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, is combat gonna feel good to me, or more overwhleming/twitchy?

The PSN description mentions HUNDREDS OF ABILITIES, THIS GUY ONLY MENTIONS A SHOCK GRENADE. HORRIBLE review, not even a good preview. & nobody cares about the story, that's why they invented skip cutscene. Describe the COMBAT MECHANICE. Better yet, quit youtube.

Calm down psycho. This video was made 3 years ago when the game was in early access. A LOT has been added since then that didn't exist when he made this video.

Wow! I just noticed this game for sale on PS store online and had never heard about it. It’s in new release section. So when I got this review, I surely thought this was super recent. Wasn’t till the end when you were saying can’t wait for full product that was like huh? Then I saw the date Point is, clearly the time was worth it. Many other reviews are singing praise. FYI: a few good new rougelites out now are Warm Snow and Trinity Fusion, which has a similar art and graphical style as this while adopting the Dead cells type design

Great choice to review this game. Was really well done and I hope to see more like this from you. That said, I want to give a digital fist bump and thanks for including all the major check marks of a good review, and in this case, I’m referring to the music. So many reviewers never touch that side of gaming and it’s hugely important yet really appreciated or even acknowledged. Essentially that’s what good soundtrack music is though. It almost creeps in without you noticing only to deliver the chefs kiss, cherry on top, icing on cake, perfect pub pour type of way, often pulling us to or driving us into vats of various emotions or feelings or excitement or dread. It’s so I tune with our bodies, these vibrations we call music, we don’t even recognize how sounds can make your insides feel. Ok that’s a little much for this. But music is THAT important if every medium and life Just wanted to say thanks for giving this one its due without going overboard or better yet, without skimping on that aspect either. Keep it up

Really an awesome game, I played it when it came out :3 Thanks for doing this video, this is what I need, to show others the game's greatness, without spoiling them, hopefully they play it, too :D You're right about playing Omori is like seing a friend grow and facing hardships together, once I knew why the horrors haunt Sunny, I just wanted to give him a hug and comfort him.

Blud I feel like omori on some percs. Like Blud has a desktop wall paper of a black and white brick wall and his notes repeat the same two phrases over and over again. And the craziest part is that where all this shit is happening his room is looping infinitely. Like bro is not depressed he just needs to lay off the dmt and percs ong.

Exactly the same here. I picked it up on sale yesterday, put 4 hours in so far and love it! I love all of the QoL improvements this dev team made that lots of Rogue-likes / Souls-likes and Metroidvania's forget or lack.

Exactly what I was hoping to hear. Looks good. I can’t believe I didn’t even know about this before I stumbled upon it on PS storefront. A Fluid and complex but also inviting Beat em up sidescroller with cool art, dark atmosphere with a bit of a campaign story? Yup. That’s me. I’m in

thanks for the review i dont know why but there are so few people that cover this kind of games your review was really helpful and i am super excited about this game
@mattpenix843810 ай бұрын
I know, right?! There seems to be so so many of these games out now that are really worth your time but I’m afraid they won’t earn the profit needed to continue making more great little gems. Right now for instance, I’m also playing Trinity Fusion and Warm Snow, both rougelike-lites, and I’m not a huge fan of that genre but they look and feel great. Trinity is a modern graphic Dead Cells but is completely its own thing. And Warm Snow has an asymmetrical top down view with crazy cool Ralph Steadman-like art, which reminds me also of Cookie Cutter.. another new game with simply divine art. Thanks for this review end these comments. Always hopeful to share a few cool games - and learn about some - with this community at large

"Little-known SNES action-platformers from Japan" And I think I know WHICH little-known action platformers for the Super Nintendo from Japan you were alluding to. Far as I know, no one is putting this game/these games on any 'Hidden Gems' videos, yet. Was that a conscious choice to keep their identity relatively secret?
