I have floppy eyelid syndrome in my left eye and it makes my left eye feel so uncomfortable. I went to the doctor and she is not willing to do surgery to correct the problem and she has put me on eyedrops but the constant discomfort wont go away. Should I get a second opinion from another doctor? I don't want to live like this anymore

Case Study on Viral Conjunctivitis =The patient is an 11yr old male who reports a 4day history of irritation and itching, first in the left eye followed by the right eye on one day later.Both eyes have also had a mild yellow discharge and mattering of the eyelids making it difficult to open in morning. He is taking chloramphenicol drops on his own as he thinks it can treat him, but it's not getting better. Past Ocular History No history of eye trauma, surgery, amblyopia or strabismus. Also no history of contact lens use. Past Family Ocular History: No history of glucoma, macular degeneration or other blinding diseases Medication History: Chloramphenicol

Hi sir.. I have taken 6×6 vision test and iam not able to read some letters without specs . It seems to be blur for me. So iam I having proper 6×6 vision without glasses?

Your vision is 6/6p. In this case you should use glasses if you are facing vision problems like headache ...blurring ..watering ..eye strain... Otherwise you can skip and mud do regular checkups

Got some imaging oil in my eye today at work, ran straight to the eye wash station and soaked my eye for like 15 minutes. Luckily the doctor didn't see anything bad, just used a fluorescent to see if anything was left in my eye and said I did good washing it out

In most cases it is advised that you were contacts. If you can’t then I’d google iseikonic lens providers. Note that these lenses might help but they’re a compromised solution. Meaning that it ain’t gonna be perfect. Also! Depending on the degree of aniseikonia you have, it might not be feasible to “fix” your vision. In many cases occlusion (just cover up on of the eyes) is advisable.

One more specialty that I rarely see discussed is orthoptics. An orthoptist helps to correct strabismus (being cross-eyed), amblyopia (having one or more lazy eyes), and other eye movement disorders. They work closely with ophthalmologists to manage these conditions, hopefully without the need for surgery. Imagine an orthoptist as a physical therapist for your eyes. Training for an orthoptist involves getting a bachelor's degree (preferably pre-med or other healthcare related fields), then taking part in a two year fellowship in orthoptics. An orthoptist can not diagnose eye disorders, but they can conduct scans and then send the results to an optometrist or ophthalmologist to speed up office proceedings.
