holy shit how old are you, 12? 14? You are so obviously picking favourites lmao, ignoring that ALL on screen stuff paints the complete opposite picture of what you said. Let me give you my 2 cents on how this would turn out: In this universe both sides have dozens of fleets measuring in the tens of thousands of ships each. They dont have to cover and protect the whole galaxy, they only have to cover a fixed, short frontline. Most ships are routhly a kilometer long, give or take. In Star Wars, the Empire has 25.000 Star Destroyers at the height of their power, but it is VERY rare to actually see multiple ships deployed together because they have to defend more than one hundred thousand systems. The biggest battle we ever see in Star Wars, the battle of Couruscant, involves routhly 1000 ships on each side. Most battles consist of only a handful of ships, maybe a few dozen ships on each side. In this universe, most battles consist of 20-30 thousand ships on each side. So just one of the dozens fleets has the same number of ships in them as the entire Imperial navy. The Death squadron that you apparently love so much only consists of 8 ships (granted one is a 19km long super star destroyer). Explain to me how 8 ships are supposed to win against 25 thousand. Thats not happening. And lets talk about range and firepower. In Star Wars, battles happen at VERY short range. The ships are just a few kilometers away from each other, and miss half of their shots at that distance since each gun is aimed by humans by looking out of a window. Gun turrets are relatively small, even the biggest guns (excluding superlasers) are only 50 meters long (the main battery of a Star Destroyer on the left and right of their Superstructure). In this universe, the guns literally run half the length of the ship, so a 1km long ship has a lot of 400-500m long guns, which can obliterate enemy ships in one salvo, while Star Wars ships need hundreds of hits to successfully destroy a Star Destroyer sized ship. Also, in this universe guns and sensors are accurate enougth to hit each other multiple light seconds away from each other (one light second is the distance from Earth to the Moon, routhly 300.000 km), so the battles take place at up to one million kilometer distance, and the ships still accurately target and hit each other. The only advantage Star Wars has is that their hyperdrives are more accurate and allow them to drop out of hyperspace closer to the enemy fleet. So how would a battle go down? If the Death Squadron gets out of hyperspace far away from the enemy fleet (like for example in Episode 5 when they attack the rebel base at Hoth, or in Episode 6 when they spring the trap for the Rebel fleet at Endor, or similar to how the new republic fleet attacks the Sith fleet at Exagol in Episode 9) they are getting blown to pieces before they even see the enemy by long range fire. If the Death Squadron manages to use their biggest advantage to get out of hyperspace close to the enemy fleet, they initially have a big advantage, you are right about that. They will be able to take out a few dozen ships thanks to their good fireing arcs, but definetly not 25% of the fleet, which would be 6250 ships, thats not happening. After a minute or two, a portion of the Fleet of this universe will have turned around, and hundreds of ships start pounding away at the Death Squadron. The normal Star Destroyers will be destroyed within a few minutes. The Executor holds longer and takes another few dozen ships with her, but ultimately she will also be disabled, with her engines and weapons destroyed, and after maybe 20 minutes or so of continuous fireing, she will also be completely destroyed. The same would happen to the Eclipse if that ships gets brought in, sure her superlaser is good and can destroy every enemy ship in a single shot (remember the regular ships of this universe can do the same with one salvo), but it needs a few minutes to recharge after each shot, so if the enemy has thousands of ships it isnt really relevant. And the Eclipse actually has a smaller number of regular weapons than an Executor, but it has better armor, so it would last longer until blowing up. But just as the Executor, hundreds of Neutron beams impacting every 2 seconds will disable her weapons and engines quickly. And regarding fighters, the fighters of this universe can literally turn on the spot, so are much, much more maneuverable than TIE fighters. You literally see this in this video at 1:20 to 1:30 . They will rip any incoming TIEs to pieces. Also, the Eclipse cant drop out behind the enemy fleet, because a Hyperdrive is not a teleport, it is flying in a very fast straight line, so if the Eclipse wanted to drop out of hyperspace behind the fleet it would have to fly inside the enemy territory first, where it would certainly be detected and attacked. The same reason is why we never see enemy ships dropping out of hyperspace behind the ships in Star Wars either, the Empire/Republic pretty much always come from the direction of the Galactic core, while the Rebels/Separatists pretty much always come from the Outer Rim.

@@budowniczypylonow7026 Well in a few ways that does help. Sloped armor allows for nearly the same weight of armor to act like much thicker armor. Take a meter thick armor and angle it 45 degrees. A straight shot thru it now has to pass thru 1.4 meters of armor before penetration. And with a little polishing a non zero deflection would greatly increase the amount of energy reflected away from the ship instead of burning thru it. But what space shows say are lasers often resemble more like particle beams. In which a deflection angle would also be beneficial.

Having already replied on how sloped armor would be beneficial. I should also point out how it might not as well. First is what appears to be the design principal of the Alliance. They pack the front with a lot of very powerful weapons. Which have large openings. Sloping the armor may cause problems during combat as some of those openings could have material from the armor run off filling the crevices in the armor left open to accommodate weapons fire, thus rendering that weapon unusable. Next with all those openings you really don't have much of a clean slope anyway and it might not deflect all that much incoming fire anyway. The Alliance builds their ships smaller than the Empire. This I believe is due to practical reasons. They are cheaper and easier to build fast. Alliance ships don't seem to have a lot of the frills included on the larger Empire ships. Now I have not watched this show much at all. And this is just what I gained from it.

@@bluetooth7904 The gaps of each fleet are actually very very far. And what does that have to do with them flying straight into the wall of fire coming from the other fleet? And in one of my previous comments I did speak of how the main guns are inside the ship by talking about the numerous openings in the bow armor to allow weapons fire. Look, I'm a sailor from the USNavy. What I am talking about is not the distance or what it resembles. I am talking about the actual combat tactics used in the battles I have seen from this series. Which seem to be the standard line up and charge each other used so much by writers.
