In Australia the awd 2.0 diesel has a 1900kg tow weight capacity but the problem is it only has 100kg tow ball weight capacity with trailer brakes what weights 1900kg with a 100kg towball weight?

The Truck is an looks awesome 👏🏽 For me personally, I guess I’m old school because I Prefer an All gauge dash. I’m not a big fan of the new Electronic dash as they seem to freeze up a lot. an I don’t understand why They don’t put on a 14” Visor if a 20” bumper is from the Factory. But in Closing, you can go wrong with a Pete 🎉

I think the 589 is pretty nice--who doesn’t want a wider cab with a more modern instrument panel? I also don’t mind the one piece windshield. 👍😎👍

WISH THEY WOULD MAKE 359 REPLICAS AND OLD NEEDLE NOSE REPLICAS. NOT SURE IF WESTERNSTAR AND INTERNATIONAL STILL MAKE CLASSIC HOOD TRUCKS. WISH MACK WOULD MAKE REPLICA OF THE OLD SUPERLINER AND THE B MODEL. ALSO MISS THE MARMON TRUCKS. DO UNDERSTAND THE MPG FUEL SAVINGS THOUGH OF THE AREODYNAMIC TRUCKS THOUGH. THE T600 KW CAB IS STILL THE SAME INSIDE AS THE W900. BOTH VERY NICE CABS. PETERBILT MIGHT BE MAKING A MISTAKE WITH THEIR CUSTOMERS. WILL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE. WISH THE INDUSTRY COULD HAVE THE PRIDE BACK IT ONCE DID AND REMOVE THE SHADY CHARACTERS AND PEOPLE TRYING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OTHERS OR EXPLOITING THEM.

Completely agree! And so many cars nowadays don’t come with one at all! The run flat tires are terrible, no spares, or a can of fix-a-flat that makes a huge mess at the tire shop!

I’m sitting in my tenth and last W900L. K.W. with big Cat power has always been my choice. Pererbilts are beautiful and something to be proud to own. I simply fell in love with the W900L sleeper. Believe or not I owned an International Eagle that was gorgeous. Barnyard Cadillac but a good looking tractor. I like Autocar and Marmon. Take care of what you have and then move up.

I don’t get why Peterbilt cannot build both the 589 and the 389. Kenworth is still building the W900 after the W990 has been out now for a few years. They even still build the W900 flat glass trucks. Hopefully Peterbilt will see the need to rethink canceling the 389.

The biggest change from the 389 to the 589 is the cab. The 589 now shares the 2.1 meter cab with the 579. It’s bigger, nicer, more comfortable, and the cost to build is lower, plus the quality of the cab is better. With all the trucks, 579, 589, and 567 sharing a cab the assembly process is streamlined and more efficient. Plus, the bigger cab really is a nicer cab all around.
