Can we just reflect on the fact that this was all one long take? Emma Stone hasn't done much live theater, but this entire monologue REALLY highlights her acting abilities. It would have been SO EASY for an actress to lean into the campiness of Cruella DeVil, but Emma managed to make it all completely 100% believable without it feeling forced.

There's a part of me that wonders how much more of an effect it would've had if she shed one singular tear during that brilliant monologue.

This was one of the best villain monologues I've ever heard!! I get chills every time. Emma Stone deserves that award.

my nemesis is my real mother and she killed my other mother. i guess you always scared weren't you, that I'd be a psycho like my real mom? that explains all the " tone it down, try and fit in " stuff. love me into shape i suppose, was the plan and i tried. i really. i tried because.. i loved you. but the thing is.. im.. not sweet estella, try as i might. i never was. im cruella. born brilliant, born bad and a little bit mad ( chuckles ) im not like her, im better. anyway.. must dash, much to avenge revenge and destroy. but i do love you.. always

I LOVED how the film gave us sympathy for her, but still showed us that she's crazy and dangerous. It didn't make it boring at all. Fabulous film ❤

At this point after learning a dirty secret, Estella fully embraces her Cruella alter-ego and plans to avenge her adoptive mother's death and expose her biological mother's dirty secret by revealing who she really is.

Honestly this movie was and still remains one of my favorites of all time. Something about it I just appreciate and love. I thought it was going to be another lifeless remake that was going to end up forgotten (it still did sadly). It was an extremely well written movie. Cruella was one of the best written characters I've seen tbh. The movie isn't so much about her evil-ness and spite but more about how she spiraled into insanity, and how she got to be the villain we all hate in the classic movie 101 dalmatians. Most of these remakes have let me down but this is genuinely one of my favorite movies if not my favorite. I genuinely wish more people talked about this masterpiece of a movie. The way they present Cruella could almost be seen as relatable, not like we're all going crazy, but the frustrations of life. Not to mention Emma Stones immaculate acting. She really portrayed Cruella in the best way. So yeah, that to me is why this movie is truly one of my personal favorites. I wish Disney would make more like this.

It shows that we should always look at people on both sides. If someone is always negative, understand them. What is their backstory? Their pain?

If she had been raised by the baroness we would've ended up with the cruella from the original animated movie. It is because of her being raised by her adoptive mother she knew what love is, and it left her with some goodness in her heart that flourished in a different way.

“…much to avenge, revenge and destroy…” is my personal favorite part… Tisn’t exceptional thespian work but tis good. Her body expressions carries the weight of her monologue filling in what she lacks elsewhere. To add a personal touch, Cruella’s fictional backstory parallels, in a manner of spake, my own nonfictional one. Could she be my true soulmate and love?

This movie is amazing on it's own, but really fails as an adaptation/prequel of 101 Dalmatians. It should have be it's own story

This was easily one of the best films in a live action Disney film to date. This whole scene was utterly brilliant and it had an almost Shakespearean quality! I had doubts about Emma Stone but this film made me reassess my entire opinion of her.
