It depends of your weight, but if you have enough muscle go for 49erFX. full 49er is probably a bit too much for you at age of 17. but the upgrade means only new rig, not full boat, and then you have all the movements already in your head...

Given that I haven't sailed it and don't know what the conditions were like, it looks almost underpowered downwind and it's weird seeing a Bethwaite boat without the characteristic kite shape.

I love this video. I reckon the FX will get the title in 2016. And they're accents are really hot.
