Thank you. This is great. Really helpful. Eyes are an important subject for me and I find them difficult to sketch. Eyes can make a huge difference to the appearance of a face. As always, thanks for building the subject up stepwise and putting it in the context of the face. I am forever in your debt. Can you do a “buy me a coffee”on KZbin?

Thanks for demonstrating this and explaining / showing how your grip affects the style of the sketch. I always default to the low down tight grip. I guess that's why my drawing always looks tight. I have tried the medium grip before but have to "make" myself do it. I am going to bite the bullet and try the loose grip. Thanks x

The main thing is being able to sketch loosely versus detailed, which can be affected by the way the pen or pencil (or brush) is held. Even how the stroke is made, from the wrist, arm, or shoulder, affects the line quality. Keep practicing and you'll get it.
