Hi there sorry I have since sold the bike, fully functioning I may add. They are in center of each carb just under the throttle plate. You may have one that is plugged from the factory these plugs need to removed so u can adjust.

It did not for me but I could imagine if thr leak was really bad it would be flags by the fuel pressure sensor

Sounds like a vacuum leak to me mate, check all the vacuum lines In around the carbs and airbox

@@callytech.d2r813 well i have the car now for 7 months.it drove fine and started every morning i had to replace 1 glowplug . I Am a car mechanic but never we touch a 1.9tdi 98% we work on gasoline cars so you know😆 I was driving and all of the sudden it just went in limpmode or so? Beqause the car felt shocking and it didnt wantted to run so it died with a blinking glowplug light😕 I deleted everything treu obd and it had power again WITH the blinking glowpluglight! BUT after a few Miles it died again and it didnt wanted to start again. Tried the next day Leaving to work Beqause 1 car and it didnt go far till it died again and then it was barely starting, en then NO START anymore… there were no crazy engine sounds oh and the dieselpump in the tank sometime when yiu turn the key you heare it slurping and not its 50/50 with slurping also no start i dont knoe it anymore relay 109 clicks glowplug tested all good. I did the mass from the dynamo to under the battery and go on i hope you can help me

Yes for sure it is needed to help get fuel to the Injectors

Hi there if there bogging at 6k rpm plus u be on ur needle jet range, sounds like u need more or less fuel. Has the bike been modified? If yes sounds like u need shim ur needle jet to get more fuel. Assuming you bike is a carby like mine

@@callytech.d2r813 yes the bike is carborated, it hasn’t been modified. Iv actually traced down the problem (hopefully) I believe it’s either a bad fuel pump or bad fuel pump relay. Apparently the bike is gravity fed gas until you hit a certain speed or rpm is only when the fuel pump kicks on and calls for more gas. My theory is, it’s needing more gas but doesn’t get it so it just falls on its face when it gets to that point. But if that isn’t the issue I’ll check the positioning needle and go through the carbs

You changed the carb boots? Try spraying carb cleaner down around them and see if idle changes, I had old carbs boots leak, new carb boots leak it's only when I got genuine oem Honda items did it not have a vac leak

I would check the simple things, could be the side stand safety switch, it will not crank if u in a gear with stand down. You sure you in neutral

@normandeline2339 spray a bunch of carb cleaner or easy start in the intake, if it fires up briefly you know its not an ignition problem and is fuel delivery. If so focus on the carbs

@callytech.d2r813 yeah I tried some starting fluid, can only reach one carburetor bowl, it's draining. The other 3 I don't know. Need some special tools to get to the other's. Tested pump. It's trying. Would it pump threw the bowl to clear out old fuel while trying to start or is it just draining 🤔

Personally no I have not had that happen to me. The fuel level is usually a float indicator in the tank, so I don't see how air in the lines could cause this.

Interesting that that tool worked for you, my pilot screws don’t take a flat blade, they take a d-shaped end. On both my carb sets that I have from a 95 and a 98

Yeah the D shaper pilot screws are the original honda items, you can cut a line into them for flat screwdrivers or get them out and replace with adjustable pilot screws with Normal Philips head

U sure it's not a vac leak? Have you check the vac lines? I would do that before rebuilding or replacing the pump

My Mk5 Golf is doing the exact same. I'm in the process of replacing the tandem pump because I have a spare one from a ASZ engine. Did you ever get your issue sorted? If so, what was it?

@@shona5512 I haven't started it yet ..been too busy...a good mate of mine said to change the master cylinder first as he's 100% sure that's the problem...rebuild kits are cheap as cheaps

@@shona5512 yes replacing the seals as did seem to stop the leak, although I am still dealing with an oil leak from the rear main seal

Hi there funnily enough yes I did, but since this video I have discovered a vacuum leak at the back of carbs 3 and 4, if I sprayed carb cleaner revs would pick up. If your revs are still hanging with 3 turns out I would check for vac leaks. 2 turns is the standard so you may be inadvertently compensating for a vac leak

The leak I think fyi is coming from the Choke plungers it look likes

The one I picked up had around 13,xxxM and it is a 49 states version. I did notice the hanging throttle after the first carb tear down. I found out after that the vacuum lines on the right side of carb 1 and the right side of carb 4 practically crumbled. So I changed those. I benched sat the pilots @ 2.5 turns after watching your video as a starting point, ending at around 3. (Whoever had it before me sat the pilots all the way in causing it to only run on choke) Sounded so much better at 3turns. Just wasn’t sure if just the air mods (hiflo filter with pipe) are too much for the current jetting causing a lag in throttle response. Sounded like yours was instantaneous. Oh and mine also has that tach needle sway at idle, very minimal though. So possibly an area for improvement or maybe just how it is. How’s it running now?

Well I cleaned the choke plungers but idle still hunts noticed the carb boots are leaking a.little bit even tho they are brand new and honda items, I may apply a little sealant to get them to seal better
