What does ECTP23 mean? I'm guessing the 23/24 refers to the depth in inches.

I live 4000 miles away and I still check the report daily, it makes me feel like I'm home for a moment. I send people these vids I meet in the UK now who want to know more, so your work kept us safe in good ol bozeman and your knowledge saves lives around the world. Thank you! Now I wished gotten my snow sense autographed when you'd lecture at MSU. GO SKI POW.

Wow. Thanks for keeping us safer all these years. I submitted my first obs to GNFAC nearly 20 years ago, and the support and positive feedback I received back from Doug in those early years was super encouraging and a big part of the reason I’m still at it. Thank you! When’s the book coming?!

As a young man I took way to many risks playing in the snow...after a close call that I was totally lucky in surviving I wised up and began paying attention to your work in avalanche education...Thank you for your years of service and the efforts you made to make us all smarter about snow and snow safety....Thank you again and good luck for whatever you do in the future!

You are a true legend Doug! You are among the small group of elites over the decades in public service, forecasting, and keeping the advancement of avalanche understanding moving forward. We didn’t see each other often, but over the years I appreciated all our ISSW and Annual NAC meeting discussions over beer in the after hours. You always gave good counsel to questions and I was always thankful for your open hand to the eastern side of the avalanche world. Good luck in retirement, you deserve it! ….. I’m just 8 months behind you to hit the road chasing fish around the west and finding trails for bikes. Reach out if you ever find yourself near Bend. Joosen
