No one should get a licence until some "passenger in truck" experience has taken place. Maybe "as a passenger next to the train driver" as well 🤔

I’m from Philly and the blue route is 476 so I’m guessing that’s because of i76. Interesting

The NYS Thruway is I 87 it runs north/south. Then I take I 84 which runs east/west. so wtf?
@iggy87022 ай бұрын
Super over-simplification. The zeros and fives were from the initial design allowing room for more highways to be added thus you have I-57 and I-69 among many others today. The highways aren't horizontal and vertical, they are east-west and north-south. I promise you, you are traveling horizontally regardless of what number the highway is.

Really? divisible by 5? I have I 88, I 57 I 39 and I 94 all by me.

after 40 years driving a 18 wheel commercial rig. it amazes me still how stupid people are around trucks. it should be part of the books and learning for just getting a car permit to understand how trucks work. it will save lives and millions of USD a year.
@splitser70823 ай бұрын
Whenever you get into a new truck, turn your cab to a 90° angle, then get out and then set your mirrors to the angle on both sides, this will help you cover most of your blind spots but not all of them.

Hello Elite Truck Driving Academy, My name is Stephen James and I am a Certified Evaluator, Instructor and I have been driving trucks for almost 50 years, with about 5,000,000 miles of Accident-Free driving. No disrespect, but these days, it amazes me, that the MTO would pass beginner drivers, with training like that, and I am sure that driver has about 5 to 10 years of experience. Don't get me wrong, there are some good pointers, but for the most part, if I was doing what you are doing, I would not allow a Newbie to do a Road Test with that little type of information. One very obvious rule is that there is supposed to be nothing on that catwalk and yet you have a bungee cord there. In your yard, you can do as you please, but as soon as you are on the road, then you're at the mercy of the MTO and or Cops. Uncoupling and Coupling are wrong, and you could fail simply by doing what this driver has done. Checking the airbrakes for leaks, 10 to 15 seconds is not long enough. You might hear the supply line that fast, but the service line whether by foot or spike, that application of the brakes out of the blue line, can take a tad longer, and you make no mention of how to repair the leak. You mentioned the Nuts & Bolts, holding the 5th wheel together, but no mention of the 5th Wheel Blocker and its condition. I understand that the video is about Coupling & Uncoupling, and you're not the first I have commented on, but if you're going to do such a video, then get it right, lives depend on you, and always remember that halfway, is still wrong.
