Thanks for the video. One issue with the movement with the BU marker around the 7:00 mark. The BU wreck forces the tank off he road but you do not reset the whole movement, you just use the 5T factor rather than the 11. So the road movement cost is still used and not the woods.

@@LTAH2615 You are correct, but you are mixing movement speed with movement cost. . All 4.5.1.5 is saying is use the movement speed, but the cost remains the same for the road if you are following it.

@@campsawyer an interesting interpretation - road movement factor can be used in cross-country mode (e.g., 5T). I think the movement modes are exclusive. 4.5.1.1.2 All movement is considered to be Cross-Country unless the vehicle is utilizing Path or Road movement.

@@LTAH2615 I understand what you are saying and know that other games use different modes as you point out. But if you watch other videos and check with the designer you will find that there is not a mode but a rate and cost.

@@campsawyer A Wreck (KO or BU) counter or an opposing vehicle located in a Path or Road hex does not prevent movement but does stop a vehicle from using its Path or Road movement factor. If the route crosses a Wreck or an opposing vehicle, the vehicle must use its Cross-Country movement factor for the entire move.

Hello, first time view and subed. Love this game engine. enjoyed the video. enjoy the detailed commentary. Is it possible to offer your viewers both the short version of the battle and maybe post the longer counter by counter movements? It would be cool to see how you move and attack positions turn by turn. I don't watch tv or movies often. enjoy seeing experienced grog players play out turns by turns. lol. Its my downtime when the family is out doing stuff. Its my time to sit in front of the 86' tv and get lost in the battles of ww2. take care and good luck on the channel.

the tiller games are pathetic. there is no AI, its gamified crap that makes no sense. to play like there was sense involved is absurd. good luck staying up all night playing this rubbish, feverushly moving towards the 'objectives, better off playing a real hex board game with a real person.

A little harsh I would say. Certainly these games excel when playing H2H. The AI is still a work in progress but sufficient for SP and learning. I have played cardboard style in the past. Need a well motivated opponent to learn the rules etc. The computer "boardgame" is superior in rules application and a host of other factors - for example, setting up, getting an opponent etc. WDS has a good reputation re historical research. If you are a boardgame enthusiast I recommend learning a title and checking out the online community.

Great video! You should really try Hex of Steel, you will be pleasingly suprise! I think it's the best hex ww2 game out there, not as complex as this, think, Hoi4 meets panzer general and panzercorps 🎉😊
