It was years I was waiting for someone making a pocket knife with no screws whatsoever other than the old fashioned classic pocket knife. Thank You Lion Steel Maniago.

I just really don't like the feel of anodized aluminum as a handle material, it's the same thing that's kept me away from the Bel Air. I love button locks though, so I really hope some variations are on the way with different scales.

OK I went ahead and bought the Gen III just now with the tanto blade from BladeHq. They had a deal where you get a Cold Steel SRK fixed blade knife as a "gift" for buying the C-Troodon. You can't go wrong with a MT, nor a Combat Troodon, but the problem is, they look TOO GOOD so you keep 'em in the box instead of carrying them!
@randallscott-key802Күн бұрын
I kinda like it, but I kinda think the previous version looks more "Microtech" and a bit more elegant. The ONLY thing MT needs to do is copy the button system used by Guardian Tactical where the button rides on ceramic beads over a stainless steel plate. My GT 035 and 040 Recon both have amazingly light firing buttons despite the forceful ejection and retraction of the massive 4.2" blade. I don't care one iota about that goofy ball-pocket clip - it's a total non-issue. I'd love to see MT go to the next level with a 4.5" deployed blade without making it break the bank.

Hard sell for me. The Civivi QBit has Sandvik and Costs $30. And I gotta say this Sandvik on mine is insanely hard steel, it feels close to magnacut when sharpening it. Personally I Loath, no absolutely Hate D2... It rusts if you look at it sideways.

This knife is what the USAF gives to fighter pilots upon deployment. Its an amazing knife, though it's intention is not EDC for a regular person as I've seen so many reviews for EDC and bush craft, that's just not it's purpose. It's original intention was for mil and law enforcement. Great review. We were them in our flight suit. (Not a fighter pilot, but civilian USAF air crew in the fast jets.)

Inferior compared to the 586-141. This one doesn’t even look like it belongs in the Gold class. Rather get a Kizer Feweed with 80s camo carbon and still have 300$ left over.

I can't help but think of Spiderman every time I see the original green/purple design on this knife. I hear Osborne and think of Norman Osborn who is the Green Goblin (which wears a green and purple armor/costume design.

Ya I like that 0044. Ordered one from gpknives. Said it was in stock so I’m hoping it ships today. I wonder if this will take the place in the pocket of my Malibus for a while. This is my first zero tolerance buy. I’ve come to really enjoy the button locks. I kinda compare this to the Malibu USA made or the we culex which is china made. I’m gonna compare them all when it comes in. Thanks ZT for finally getting on the button lock wagon

They are discontinued & I lost mine. It was my favorite EDC. They replaced it with the CLA 4300. I'd much rather have the Casbah. Everything about it is perfect for me: The blade, the one hand operation, the way it feels in my hand, the sturdiness, the jumping, etc.

$340 is pretty insane for that. You could buy two Magnacut Bel-Airs and pocket enough money to take your significant other out to a nice dinner.

During a summer job in '84 in Truckee California, as a student from France I was looking for an iconic US folding knife and I bought a Buck 110 finger grove. Few years later, I faced an issue with one brass bluster and thank's to the bucks forever warranty, it was replace by a '93 version. Know, I am 66 old and my buck still in perfect condition and one of my top favorite.

I’ll be buying the ZT0308 in magnate and tiger stripe here shortly. Why wouldn’t you spend money on a quality tool?
@steven-u1q3 күн бұрын
@btuthill9653 Why? Because a 30 dollar knife does the same thing just as well as a 300 knife.
@jmccamish073 күн бұрын
@@steven-u1q Yeah, but your 30 dollar knife doesn't come with free lifetime sharpening, and your edge won't stay sharp nearly as long. But enjoy your budget knife and you can buy 10 of them over the next 2 years while my 300 dollar knife will still be going strong.
