Dude, you got to do one on oil pan change on a tacoma 1st gen. I don't think there's a short cut to doing that one, It's either removing the entire engine or the front differential. jeezh I mean, I don't mind removing the whole engine, but damn for an oil pan? I have this same problem. Strange thing is, if i plug and leave a code scanner plugged in the 4wd lights stop blinking and it goes into 4wd no problem. If the scanner is not plugged in obd port the 4wd dashlight is lit up and it wont engage.

Does it makes a difference filling the oil when the truck is lifted.

My 2015 v6 has a different problem. AC works fine and randomly it'll stop working and the AC light flashes but the blower still blows just hot. New compressor, fully charged, new clutch relay, clean AC condenser. I'm at my wits end. It doesntdo it al all below 80 degrees and does it less while moving, more when parked but not always. Again, condenser is clean.
