this is a really cool design! Nice Job! I love how you even printed the bristles.

40W lasers are not suitable for engraving, which is evident from the poor quality of these works on canvases. 5-10W lasers with a small, precise spot are best for such engraving.

picture quality/setting matters. Grabbing low quality images from the internet is not conducive to high quality results. I have some personal pictures that I don't share on the internet that are much better quality. But yes, the finer the dot the finer the engrave.

@aimless1700 that one was Etsy but I didn't like it. I actually put out a video of one I made myself here. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sH7ZkK2QYrCrhs0si=TqkdGP_7gq2XrVDH

What controller were you using for the machine?
@FiveSevenWoodworking3 ай бұрын
I use bobs basic sender, I have used others, but this works great and is simple to use. If you're talking about the machine controller, it's an Arduino controller that comes with the BobsCNC - www.bobscnc.com/products/controller-kit-quantum-and-quantum-max?_pos=5&_sid=824c973c9&_ss=r

i have a question i just bought a Bob's quantum max and just assembled the machine, i've powered it and tried moving the router up and down and forward and backward but the right side belt keeps falling off, what could that be? i noticed to that in one area the right side rubs just a hair but i'm not sure why, this is my first try at using the machine any advice?
@FiveSevenWoodworking7 ай бұрын
Belt could be too loose or maybe even too tight. It should be tight, but not TOO tight. If you push on it, it should move a little. Make sure that the set screw for the stepper motors are good. Search the Official BobsCNC Routers group page on facebook, there are a lot of people there that can help with these kinds of issues.

Nice setup. I've got the same pulley setup for my wife's bike. I'm looking at the same cnc as opposed to going with one made in China. Did you get just the cnc, or did you get the bundle?
@FiveSevenWoodworking9 ай бұрын
I'm not sure what bundle you're referring to. I got the Quantum Max - amzn.to/3JUDjd7

Hey. Where did you purchase the dust shoe?
@FiveSevenWoodworking Жыл бұрын
I bought a dust shoe from etsy, but didn't like it, so I chopped it up and used parts of it and then CNC'd some other parts to make it work. It's not great, I'd like a better dust shoe, but it works. I have sense made more changes to it(put a nut and bolt to allow me to secure it better)
