I played indoor softball, did pitching school, batting every week, and played for two competitive teams in the summer and I still hated PE. In grade school it was fun for the most part, minus the mile run and pull ups. My middle school and high school was all one school, it was huge, and we had a swimming pool. Can you imagine how a 16 yr old girl reacts when she’s told that she has to jump in a pool during 4th hour PE, and will be given roughly ten mins to shower, change out of her suit, try to fix the hair that took an hour in the morning, and the make up that took another hour? It’s not pretty, there would be goes crying, ready to throw down for the wall dryers to try and fix their hair, screaming because they still have two more hours left and their crush is in 6th hour, and at best they have that just swimmer in pony and running eye make up! I feel for the PE teachers, the women were usually the ones that were harder on us.

Silly, put the mulch down in the fall, just topping it up in the spring. Helps the plants winter better and it's a heck lot cooler when I put it out. Mulch is also a bit cheaper in the fall and I do less watering thru the fall and early spring.

Dodgeball was one of the best parts of p.e. Our teacher always had us finish it Johnn Wayne style (last man standing, free for all). It sucked when you'd get hit from four different directions at once.

My dad used to make us help when we were kids. He was always a crazy person when it came to the lawn my dad was a crazy man. He would work all day as a cement mason in the Missouri heat and come home and cut the grass, get the sprinklers out, and at one point started obsessively gardening lol! He ended up getting a job in another city for awhile and left me, the oldest kid I was the one left to deal with the watering and trying to keep the bunnies and other animals from eating everything. What is with dads and the lawns!
