Cool car, but it's to bad a 1974 AMC station wagon with a 304 could destroy this car. And I'm the biggest Trans Am lover there is. But my Moms AMC, ugly as hell car, would kill a lot of Trans Am's and Z28s and everything else back in it day, lol. She had no idea what I done with her car on Saturday night, LOL. 😀

I bought a 70 Trans Am back in 1975. California - 4-speed, white / blue stripe and black interior. I paid $1750 for the car. After all these years and the many corvettes, mustangs, Camaros etc I've owned this 70 Trans Am absolutely was my favorite car. Thank you for showing us this fine example.

@74SD455TA; he said he sold the three SD’s and this was the last one to sell. I owned three 70’s T/A’s. The first one was a 74. I was 18 and didn’t have the money to check the box for the SD, but by 79 I did and ordered the 400/4speed. Drove them all.

Cool, I was 16 back in 1974 had no money, my parents, bless them bought me off the lot, a 1974 Formula 400 2bbl car which I of course drag raced as I built it up. I was so happy for that I can't tell you. It took me around 35 years to actually buy my own 74 SD car and like I said, I love it. I have a buddy who is redoing a 1979 black 400/4speed car right now and it is going to be spectacular! He owned one as a youngster and is now rekindling that memory. You should go out there and grab an SD? @@moremoney2

@ghw9nokur; really nothing to hear. He’s a salesman. He says twice that the radio doesn’t work and it’s running cool. I’m wondering about the added induction and why it hesitates whenever he accelerates? Car is at $75k on bring-a-trailer with one day to go.

This car can and will beat any muscle car from 1967 to 1974, with any engine option except a 426 Hemi Charger or a GSX Buick! And it didnt lose but a car length or less to these 2 legends THIS IS FACT!

I started to buy a 79 T/A in late 1980 from a friend. He let us take it home for a weekend and I regret to this good day that I didn't buy it. It was one of the fastest cars I ever drove that was stock production. Had a 455 4 speed and was just fun.

You either have your years wrong or your friend was not being honest with you. There were no 455s in 1979 T/As. Did your friend swap engines in a 1 year old car? The best you could get was a 400, 0-60 in a tad under 7 seconds. Very decent for the time, but certainly not a screamer.

If the history and provenance are true to from with this car which I expect that they are......this SD deserves $200,000...... should be worth more. Any day of the week you put up a Boss 429 Mustang at over $400,000 I think that certain SD's either 1973 or 1974 should get those prices. They are underappreciated in my mind and we'll forget for a moment that you couldn't put a "dog" 429 Boss up against it as the SD would make short order of it. Like yourself, I have a 1974 SD as well and will forever cherish what it was, a moment in time. GL with the sale, I say you should keep it.
