This is the statement that corporate made in regards of what happened: Diversity and inclusion is a core value at Lowe’s. The situation brought to our attention was troubling and an investigation was immediately undertaken. Under no circumstances should a discriminatory delivery request be honored as it is inconsistent with our diversity and inclusion core values and the request should have been refused. The investigation has concluded and the individuals involved are no longer with company. They should've refused that request, refund their money back to her, and ban her from that store.

Wow three managers lost their jobs at that particular Lowe's because they honored a discriminatory request based on color or race. Those managers should've never honored that request. Is she worth losing your job? Those managers should've told that lady: "Ma'am, I'm sorry but we cannot honor a request like that. If you have a problem with our delivery driver because of his ethnic, then we'll just have to refund your money back to you." That would've saved their jobs. And if she retaliates, she can be suited and banned from that store for good. Those managers needed to think before doing that. She may be an elderly person, but it doesn't give her the right to discriminate against a person because of race, color, or any other type of diversity. I know it's not right to put an elderly person in its place, but when it comes to a discriminatory request, you don't have a choice and that behavior cannot be tolerated. The fact that she's lived 6 or 7 decades is no excuse for that behavior and it doesn't give her the right to behave that way. As for the managers who lost their jobs, they probably were ok with that. There's no manager who is ignorant enough to not know that if they honor a request like that, it will cost them their jobs. If they knew better and chose to do it anyways and sacrifice their jobs that way, that's too bad. If you're qualified to be a store manager, and you got the job, you ought to know better than that. They should've refused the request, refunded her money back to her, and ask her to go elsewhere. If possible, ban her from that store. That's what they should've done, but they didn't and now their consequence cost them their jobs. That woman is not worth losing your job.
