i haven't tried them all but i can agree about champion and saboteur to the bests of their class but i disagree about the mage specializations. Spellblade is not bad, and it's powerful but has a HUGE "problem" for me. It makes me feel like i'm playing a rogue, just with different abilities. The real mage is the evoker that has some cool mechanics (cooldown reductions, chill enemies and do bonus damage to chilled) and some others i don't like, 2 traits that i can't use for different reason: bolt volley is too hard for me, specially in the messy of a fight, and knight of staves makes no sense since maklng an heavy attack as final attack doesn't reduce cooldowns.

Boring build imo. Just auto attacking through the game

Having spent many hours finicking with all three base classes, it's simply not true that that warrior is the strongest of the three at the start. Not for me, at least. Toughest? Yes, but damage output for warrior is cents on the dollar compared to the Rogue's DPS and critical damage. I've tested early bosses and mini bosses several times, and devised different ways of defeating them flawlessly, and my rogue consistently clears out bosses anywhere from 2/3 to 1/2 the time it takes me to flawlessly clear bosses with my warrior. And that's kind of to be expected because the point of tank classes is that you trade DPS for defense. So yeah, unless I'm choosing poor skills in the early game, it's simply not true that warriors are the strongest--and really is never true because then nobody would ever choose a rogue or DPS class if the damage sponge also outputs higher damage.

Deathcaller will always be my #1. I love the Mourn Watch too much. I think a lot of people miss the mark with Deathcaller. Forcefully binding a spirit to your will to inhabit a corpse would go against what the Watch stand for. Emmrich said it himself: "The spirits of the Necropolis reside here willingly". The likelihood that in the heat of battle you would have time to find a willing spirit to inhabit a corpse to help you in combat is 0, unless you're in the Grand Necropolis itself.

Honestly I find kinda sad the treatment Lucanis and Harding got, I mean how can you mess the concept of an Antivian Crow Assassin? Also considering that Harding had a kinda joyfull before and yet acting like the chief explorer she was in Inquisition, the treatment she got making her act childish in some ocations was like being with a completly new character

If you're going to do builds for other rpgs, some cool ones to see would be Baldur's Gate 3 and Pillars of Eternity. Also maybe a warrior build for DA2, though I'm not sure what's really all that viable apart from the reaver berserker.

Your Rain of Fire Spellsword Mage build was insanely OP!! For the last 1/3 of the game, I could go into any battle regardless of companions and just dominate without even needing to use a potion most of the time. I would go to dragons that were several levels above me and be right next to them it wouldn't take long for them to be dead. End game stuff was child's play.

Does it matter if you do Deadly Ground first before Titan Stomp or vice versa? BTW, great video again! Thanks for doing these.

Actually, NEC works supper well in level matched region like jaw of hakkon dlc. When you take control of a lv 26 archer,with increased damage buff. It creared out final dragon boss hp bar in like 10 shots

It's weird I plaid as mage and warrior....warrior seems way stronger and safer...kinda disappointed in magick in dragon age 2....in da1 magic was op and a lot of specialists but in da2 it's meh

I'm still trying to finish the game (just recently completed Weisshaupt and enjoyed the mission besides my laptop having a crash in the middle of the mission) and I have been rocking the Grey Warden Champion build with some of the unique rings that makes Fire damage even more OP. It's been an interesting experience but I've also thrown myself into fires I probably could have waited on like fighting the Level 50 boss dragon in the Crossroads at Level 32. Despite those challenges, the build's been kind of fun. I'm going to have to upload all the footage I've been working on at some point, although I'll definitely edit things down and around for the viewers of my channel.

Great list. I've played every specialization except champion and evoker up to this point over 500h in game. All on hard. I'll try those eventually. I actually have had most fun with the slayer. Using different 2 handed combos during fights kept things fresh more than most other classes. It is also extremely satisfying to smash enemies from elevated positions. I agree that death caller becomes somewhat repetitive with death laser but cmon, ultimate ability is very entertaining. Hovering among enemies, screaming and leeching life before a large scale explosion is cool. I am not sure but it might have been the only case where I've used the class ulti instead of basic one...

Reaver is great at killing multiple enemies at once with a two hander

My rift mage isn't exactly built well for Nightmare, but it is very satisfying on easier difficulties. Pull of the abyss, lightning cage, veilstrike, fire mine, ice mine. I just create a big area of bad news. Mobs get nuked.

As someone who's pansexual & has battled with gender dysmorphia, I found Taash's story was my favorite. It was a true story of someone battling their family beliefs vs their own & figuring out their path in life. I love that they included a story like that knowing that not many would relate to it but also knowing it would touch the few people who can relate. I also loved Lucanis because of his obsession with coffee lol

Nah Taash is good. My spouse is NB, and they said it was pretty on point with their experience. Though, it usually happens younger while Taash is already an adult. That's why they can come across as a bratty teenager. I always viewed Taash in my playthrough as more of a little sibling, which is why I think romancing them is weird. Everything else though was totally fine. Also letting the player choose which culture for them to embrace was an absolutely wild decision by the devs.

Red - (this will be a long testimony) I really appreciate all these videos you made. I am an old school gamer like 55 yrs . Please don’t shame me. I should be over games now and reading books but my brother and stared playing our games on Atari since then we continue into playing up now. Unfortunately I lost him in 2011 but he was still playing even though he had health issues. But what I am getting to is that I am not a great player and I find it takes me awhile to get the moves down and I don’t want to have suffer from constant dying so with that your videos help me to be able to play like a champ 🦾 & not a chump 😅. It means a lot because I am particular about the kind of games I play. My favorite are RPG with a story and where I can play as a female with swords, bow and arrows or mage stuff. Shooting games seem to be too fast for me. So I only play a few games. I have done almost all of your runs/suggestions. I really enjoyed playing the warrior class!!🦾 I am currently doing the champion build. Necrotic was God mode for real! Next I will be entertaining that one I believe you said was a fav. The rogue arrow explosive something. Anyway I will be studying that one next. So again thank for your time and it made a difference for an old gal like me 👏🙏🦾💕
