That porn scene at the beginning of episode 5 of Too Old to Die Young is by far one of the most disturbing scenes ever.

The reason HEAT was so superior was the real and believable and messy and beautiful moments of humanity. It injected real stakes into what could have been another pretty-directed action film. You are invested and you grieve for every one. 💔

I've always wondered if Chris ended up finding Charlene again years down the road and somehow connecting back with her, since he was one of the only people who got out safe without a trace.

I always liked the bittersweet end to a complicated, toxic but loving relationship. Both Val Kilmers and Ashley Judd characters had similar upbringings: Bought up in foster homes and spent time in jail over this and that before meeting each other in Vegas. She was a Blackjack deaker, he was a criminal/ compulsive gambler. But they fell in love and had a son together. Despite all the Money issues, cheating and constant arguing, they were ride or die.......until this scene. She could have easily gave him up, but she "signals him" risking all of their potential freedoms, so he can escape. Even though it means he'll be on the rin the rest of his life, and theyll likely never see each other again Also, being a former Blackjack dealer, she gives him the "No more cards" signal. Which im pretty sure is their signal to warn him for when the "Heat" is around the Corner. That scene, and how they met in the 1st place, makes their split tragically ironic

“Comparison”? There is no comparison. FOBH all the way. No brainer. Brilliant classic vs. the rip-off, a boring movie with maybe two decent funny moments.

Yes he had a temper problem. Yes she was angry at him. But she knew he loved her with all his heart. His smile when he saw her confirmed that. He was far from a perfect man but she loved him too. She made up her mind at that moment not to backstab him. Great scene

This is a serious misrepresentation on the Shah’s Iran. He was authoritarian but he was modernizing his country. Most in the diaspora regret the 1979 revolution and miss the Shah.

All Drucker had to do was order those officers to detain Chris for longer and have him step out of the car. Then he could have left the house and looked at the detained man himself. Even with a haircut and fake ID, there is no WAY Drucker would not have recognized him. Boom. Chris gets taken into custody. There is no WAY the police would have been that careless.

I finally watched this movie late last year and the entire time I'm watching the movie I'm just like boy has technology made life much easier for the police because these guys wouldn't have gotten away with half this stuff in 2010 much less 2024. The scene with the guy explaining the internet also ages like wine given the context.

Why is Maan making Heat 2 now? He should have made it when Val was young and fit and able to play Chris. He was the best part of the movie.
