I saw a revival of A Chorus Line after I had seen this and giggled through whole damn production. Dawn and Jennifer could read a phone book and make it hysterical.

Comedy aspect aside, Dawn was really brilliant here 👏👍🏅

I love how Cassie is all “I got it” regarding the steps even though all DeeDee showed her was “turn, drop, kick” and yet still managed to mess up the order of that.

This is the literal best, but I still don't get the last joke. Why is Deedee correcting her name funny?
@aerialkate10 жыл бұрын
It isn't. I'm not sure what the audience found funny about it; bit lame. Only reference I can think of is that 'doo doo' is slang for 'poo' in North America. I like the rest of the sketch though. Much of it could have been actual dialogue in 'A Chorus Line.'

Wow, Dawn was so thin here. I don't recall ever seeing her so small. Was 'A Chorus Line' a hit in the UK? The film I mean. In the states it stunk up theatres. I really enjoyed it but it was considered trash by most.
@terrybaby61465 жыл бұрын
serious 22: I’m Australian and saw it in London when I was travelling in the 70s. I was 21. I absolutely loved it and I think it was very popular in at the time in the UK. A few years later it was on in Sydney and I didn’t go to see it because everyone I knew who saw it, hated it. The movie was pretty awful - completely lacked that electricity that something like it needed.
@slydoll78775 жыл бұрын
She was big for the day though.

This was inspired by Dawn French's appearance on Radio 4's Desert Island Discs (during mid 80s), when the programme was presented by Sue Lawley, who continually asked weight-related questions.

She reminds me so much of New Zealand's award winning journalist, Kim Hill. Don't get me wrong, the woman is a brilliant interviewer but she has made some heinous fuck ups, most notabley doing a live t.v. interview of John Pilger. He made short work of her, that's for sure.
