Don’t know if you guys remember me or not, but saw you a few times. On this cruise we were in room 1639, but was on this ship back in 2016 and were right next door in 1522. Love the channel - hope all is well! (Matt and Jenny from Maryland, by the way)!

Yes, my friend was in such room, (she had both rooms, so the door to the halfway was the door to her room) she really enjoyed it until the ship started really rocking! Being in the front, she really felt it! The drawers opened and closed, things flew around. We were on deck 8 mid ship, and felt it but not even half the way she did. But, again, she really enjoyed the room as a 2 bedroom cabin. And yes both were priced as ov cabins.

Cunard had a nice sale recently, we are booked oceanview, Southhampton to New York in March. All the fares were reasonable (except the suites, of course), and OV was minimally more than inside. I really didn't want a balcony, obstructed or otherwise, on the North Atlantic in March, so it was a no brainer. Fingers are crossed that I'm going to like Cunard, perhaps a balcony is in the offing for Spring or Summer sailings. Very nice tour, thank you.

I did a double Transatlantic this Oct - in a sheltered balcony and it was PERFECT. NO, it wasn't terribly warm, but it was quite nice to venture out onto the balcony!!! Plus, the view is spectacular!!! xx ENJOY xx You'll have a marvelous time!!!

Nice video, but I have heard that this is exactly the type of cabin people who suffer from motion sickness should avoid. How do you rate that cabin in that regard?

@@helciobmello I’m in it as we speak and I can confirm , you absolutely feel it. I wouldn’t recommend if you’re prone to motion sickness.

As I understand it, Cunard does not allow ‘powerbanks’ on board as these would overload the ship’s electrical circuits…

@ …well, if you read the fine print, you’ll discover these sorts of devices, if used, can shut down the ship’s electrical system. Cunard should have confiscated that from you. Imagine shutting down a whole ship of 3000 people because somebody brings something electrical on board that shouldn’t be used on the ship. Sure wouldn’t want that to be me! Good luck to you if that’s your bag, but it’s a definite no-no and Cunard definitely does not allow it. I was very surprised when you mentioned it as they’re normally very strict on that policy.

I used one without issue although I adopted the practice of disconnecting it when out of the room. Newer ships switch of all wall sockets when the key card is withdrawn from its holder. Maybe you are confused; I have learnt from past comments that it is only those power banks incorporating surge protectors are not welcome.

I listened to your video with great interest as someone who is going to sail on the Reflection soon and has gone back and forth about bidding on an upgrade from a balcony stateroom to an Aqua balcony stateroom. We had an Aqua room on our Transatlantic last year. I think I'm leaning toward sticking with what we have. We do like dining in Blu a lot and I use the spa and take advantage of the included classes, but our upcoming cruise is only 8 days. It's likely we won't eat dinner or use the spa on the ship on port days and will not want a restaurant breakfast before getting of the ship. Your content help me a lot. Thank you.

Excellent overview. I love all the mentions of the crew and how they interact and treat guests. You seem to be a solo cruiser. It's interesting to hear the differences between the food quality on this ship vs. Apex. I don't think it's the physical ship. I think it's more the management and delivery at a particular sailing that makes for quality of food. Eden was supposed to be an interactive space for performers but some passengers didn't feel comfortable with this. It was the Garden of Eden theme and the biting of apples and such. That didn't take off. Now it's more the spot to view the wake in the day and have food when the Eden cafe is open and at night there are shows, music, etc, what was once in the Sky Lounges on the previous classes of ships.

I appreciate what you are saying. You're not a newer is better person it seems. You give perspective on multiple sailings. You give perspective on how the guests onboard can treat their ship when they're using it. Also like your comments on relationships with crew members. And also, yes, the stateroom is not the end-all and be-all of sailing. If you are into them, fine. If you think it's a room and I'd rather spend my money on different aspects of cruising, fine. And you didn't say the ship is "older" and "dated" which is something I find distressing because the ship isn't that old and everything is dated in time so that's a non-issue to me. I feel you're a Celebrity cruiser and maybe more a Solstice type than Edge type. I personally don't like the Edge ship but I'm very specific in what I want in a cruise. Solstice has more of it. The Reflection is fine. Do I think Celebrity can maintain the rooms better from descriptions and pics I've seen. Yes. They should. But that's not age of ship. That's upkeep. A very mature overview of the cruise. I highly appreciate it.

I will experience the tower suites next week for first time. I like the location and having its own pool. I got the privilege of staying in the tower suites after reaching black card tier. I must agree though, not much different from other suites. Nevertheless, the tower suites will be my new hangout until 1/2026. So, there goes the neighborhood. LETS MAKE SOME NOISE! 😂🎉

Staying in that room with my family for an 8 night cruise coming up in April. It's amazing. I had that room also on The Harmony of the Seas. You have to really enjoy the room and I do.

Thanks for this tour! It's so interesting that they left the balcony 'as is' when they split these rooms - it seems strange to have a 'wet bar' and no hot tub - I'd muuuuuch rather have the tub out there! Also, unusual for such a premium room on the ship to have such a poor view of the ocean - seems a shame. Perhaps the ocean views are better from the one next door?

Omg! I go to sushi on 5 on embarkation day too!!!! Always a peaceful experience. I enjoy Murano as well,, I remember canceling a booking on Celebrity Constellation when I learned they had no Murano. I had mention to you in a comment on another video that I will be on my first Edge class ship in September and I am curious to know your opinion on which Speciatity Restaurant on Beyond gives you the same vibe or feeling as Murano? My favorite restaurant on Beyond is probably Eden. The vibe is different than Murano and so are the offerings but it’s probably my favorite on Beyond. Hope you like it!

Originally ,the Constellation had the Ocean Liner's specialty restaurant, the only specialty restaurant on the ship. I cruised aboard it when it was almost brand new and it was nothing like it is now. There were now other specialty restaurants, there was no Martini Bar (as exist now). The specialty restaurant, the original one, was just like Murano though larger and the kitchen was open for people to view it. But the menus and tableside prep and level of service was exactly like Muranos. Overall, the Constellation is improved because it needed to have more public spaces rather than the lounge over the Rendezvous lounge that had none of its own music and was oversized, but the original specialty dining room taken out was a big loss. Edge has no World Class Bar and nothing like Murano. The Beyond and Ascent have the very expensive Le Voyage restaurant, but that's not quite like Murano. The whole more "contemporary" design of the Edge ships is a different vibe, the tiered public areas, the unfornuate placement of specialty restaurants in the Grand Plaza, it's all a different ship IMO. I like Solstice class.
